Have you ever seen it rain only on one side of the street?

I'm watching a big rain cloud heading towards the house. It's dividing the sky neatly into blue sky and gloomy grey-brown. On a couple of occasions in the past I've seen it chucking down in the back garden but dry as a bone at the front of the house.

So have you ever seen a clear cut split in the weather such as only raining on one side of the street?

No, but I've failed to drive up one road because of a thick layer of hail on the ground, but the parallel road a few hundred metres away was totally clear.

I've also been in a van where there was thick fog at the top of the windscreen but the road was perfectly visible through the bottom half.

Yes I have.

I was very young, maybe 7 years old. We lived on a short narrow street in the city. One afternoon, I looked out our living room window to see it pouring on the other side of the street while it was bright sun on our side. It stayed that way for several minutes before the rain just stopped. My father looked skyward and saw just one cloud in an otherwise cloudless sky.

Yes and I’ve also been on a block where it was crazy hailing but not on the next block… felt like I imagined it but the hail on my car proved I wasn’t lol

Yes I've experience that. Was sitting in the front of my house no rain went to the back of the house it was raining. Really strange.

YEARS AGO, drove from the small german town (Dickenschied) to Kirchberg (Rhein-Hunsrueck). The entire way, 6 miles or so, it only rained on one side of the street falling exactly on the center painted strips. Blew me away and still can't exlplain it making it one of lifes mysteries!

It rained heavily on one of my decks one time while the conservatory roof on the other side of the house had not one drop of rain on it.

Yes, I have seen that quite a few times. I would normally notice that if I'm working outside. Sometimes you can hear the rain approaching you.

Yep I've seen it rain on the other side of the road while on my side the sun was out. Quite something amazing.
