What is your coping technique when bad news hits?

Do you distract yourself with stuff? Vent or talk to someone about it? watch things related to the matter to feel better? I've realized there's many ways to fight off negative emotions but I'm asking for your main one, what's your main technique?


My personal favorite is that I repeat the bad thing in my head so many times and make it as brutal as I could to myself that I eventually go numb to it, I'm not saying this is a long term healthy way to deal with it but it works for me, which made me wonder does anyone else do this? Then I wondered what other people's techniques are 🤔
