I like to believe that maybe not everyone but most carry some of this trait to a certain extent, some more than others, some a little and some extreme, so do you?

I'm not talking about controlling territorial you get from lack of trust but more of the natural protective kind where you feel the need to be protective or whatnot

even with my girls that are friends... there's been so many times in which guys are around them and the moment they notice me, they just walk back, or turn around or keep walking like "nope"

some even say "sorry" because they were going to hit on them or something, lol...

now, is not everyone, no... and of course I am not always around either, but then... I know who I am with, and I also know they've been hit on, pursued, courted, asked out a million times before I was in the picture, while I was with them and will continue to happen for a long time, so I know and trust that they can handle this very well and without a worry for me at all

women are not precisely "weak" or "helpless" nor they're just easy to trick or to persuade, not all of them anyway... not the ones with me

and not all men are douchebags either... many of them have had a very genuine interest, even if just based on looks and appearance, a lot of them never cross a line and they're just trying their luck, to a sensible approach and boundaries so, I don't need to get stupid about that either

so yeah, I don't need to act or pretend to be territorial, I don't like it either, if I am around... most dudes just stay away, in this context you do speak about,

Wife response: my husband definitely does. I have a very drunk very unstable uncle who has caused problems for us and anytime I feel threatened or scared I run to my husband and I feel better pretty quick. My husband is a big guy physically but more than that he is imposing and intimidating for most people. I can tell by looking at him how he feels even though the change is very small. The first time we had a problem with my uncle he tried to rape me and I fled to where my husband was. He was then threatening to kill both of us. My husband didn't need any encouragement from me before he grabbed him by the throat silently and with no expression and proceeded to smash him into a brick wall. It was slightly terrifying because I am a small woman. I wouldn't ever want to see him mad at me if he can do that to a guy roughly his size.

About my man, I'm "territorial", but I don't control or lack trust. I also don't forgive... rules are very simple and set in the beginning. What's mine stays mine, no exceptions.

Our relationship is transparent, so if I find him in a shady situation, I wasn't informed about, the worst-case scenario includes a breakup. This is also the moment when my trust is broken. I'm reasonable to some extent, so I will listen to his version of events, but I will keep the right to make my own decisions.
