No, I don't believe in such blatant forms of wealth redistribution. I'm even against a lot of welfare systems as we see in places like the US.
I am in favor of looking at a society as a cooperative collective and everyone pitching in to help each other out, as with the Nordic model.
That still has the effect of wealth redistribution at the end of the day, but everyone is pitching in and everyone is getting something out. It's not rich people pitching in and poor people getting something out or vice versa. In Nordic nations, even the wealthiest people still get subsidized in terms of their healthcare, education, and other social services to my knowledge. Everyone benefits from what they pay with their tax dollars; the social services aren't designed to benefit one select group at costs to others.
That's the most psychologically agreeable system as I see it. Everyone is forced to pitch in to help everyone else. It's not one group pitching in to help the other group out.
But from my perspective, anything that resembles a Robin Hood scenario is downright unethical, because we can't prove that all rich people unethically acquired their wealth. At least some might have done it very honestly and ethically. So to steal from all of them is to at least steal money collectively from at least some people who are innocent.
An ethical system from my perspective does want to aid our fellow citizens and not just with other people's money, but our own as well. But we don't discriminate and say, "This group is more deserving than that group," or, "This group must have all acquired their benefits at the involuntary expense of others." That's way too judgmental and divisive and often very wrong.
Another way I look at this is that if we hold the view that rich people must have all acquired their wealth unjustly off poor people's backs, that the rich are all guilty and the poor all innocent, and start looking at words like "millionaires" and "billionaires" and associate them with "villains", then at the very least that's going to highly divide a nation.
What happens when a nation is highly divided? People tend to cease to see the benefits of serving each other's interests as compatible with their own self-interests. The most divided nation is a nation of maximally selfish groups of people.
Then in such a highly divisive nation where the rich maximally pursue their own self-interests with complete disregard for others as with the poor and others, it can become a self-fulfilling prophecy that the rich continue to benefit while the poor continue to suffer.
So we have to hold views as I see it that aren't so judgmental and divisive if we actually want to prevent the ship we're all in from sinking. So I not only oppose the Robin Hood scenario but the fundamental and divisive view it offers that the rich are evil/guilty and the poor are good/innocent, not only because it's downright incorrect (some rich people are more ethical, some less, as with poor people), but because it's going to harm poor people in the long run.
Well.. good points…thanks
I already kind of do that... lol
How😁
I overprice my services a bit... to feed my poor cats and some strays... (=
Awesome😊

It’s all relative though.
for some rich is anyone with their own home and earning 50k or more. So yeah all of you earning $50k or more cough up. It’s far simpler to hit the lower end of rich than the top end with all those security types.
Oh and I was at Archery last night for a good few hours, I have the bow and the arrows lol, just not the tights
Damn…you need to buy the tights though😁
Lmao…I like Dave Chappelle …..
It’s a good movie lol
Maybe I will watch it sometime…
From certain rich people, absolutely! I'd like to see certain people like the Rothschilds, Rockefellers, Clintons, Gates, Bloomberg, Soros, those who attend Davos and WEF meetings, Royalty, and many, many more living penniless and without ID in African refugee camps or working in cobalt mines.
If I were rich, I'd do some social engineering... like providing rice tillers in places like Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Give them tools, not money.
We need to deal with poverty here in US
You tell me… you are suggesting something to do in other countries…
I don't agree with the idea of stealing. Also just giving to the poor won't solve their problem. They should be taught how to take care of themselves.
Some rich people are rich coZ they are hard working and mostly almost all poor are lazy people, it will be uselss to pay them they would spend it on drugs alcohol and then again want more money
I live in India now it dont really matter what the leaders of my nation wants to project india as but I know the reality its still a hell hole and the poor are just greedy lazy bad people
Absolutely. There are more poor people in the world than rich people, so it would only be fair.
If I had the opportunity, I'd steal from the rich to give to myself! :D ;) :*
Hahaha that would be fun and I would do it. If the rich are already rich, it wouldn't make any difference if they lack something, I would help the poor by saying that at least those in need can benefit from it.
it WOULD make a difference because they EARNED it and stealing is immoral.
you do not want stolen from you, do not do unto others! basic morality.
your idea is "rich can afford more tax" but the tax is bigger. and only if equal to all rich, not grab from whichever rich you can.
too general. robin hood stole from the one overtaxing the poor not from "anybody rich".
u. s. has "graded clases tax" not even one such person to steal from.
for example those who DO earn $1,200 or less only report not pay any tax. so u. s. not taxing the poor.
No. I respect other people's lives, liberty, and property. If I steal from those who have more, then I would need to be OK with people who have less than I do stealing from me
i wish i thought of that!
If I can get away with it, yes! From the criminals.
No, I would just repeal all the Republican tax cuts and strengthen the social safety net.
handouts cause inflation.
stop democrat handouts and lessen democrat spending.
@strateguy632 there's no data to support that. A strong social safety net doesn't cause inflation if the budget is balanced.

borrow must RETURN pay back. borrow must have agreement.
I would steal from the government and give to the poor. They are the real crooks.
Lmfao that meme is great. But no, I don't steal.
since like I’m a nice person, I’ll just keep the money
Robin Hood stole from the government, not the rich. Which I whole heartedly support
no because stealing is wrong no matter who you steal from.
I do.🤣
And I I don't feel bad about it because they made it back already right about, :::::looks at watch:::: now.
Only from the democrats to the American people
All politicians are bad.
Agreed. Good thing trump isn’t a career politician
If I'm poor as well, may I keep some for myself?
robin hood lost his home but he didn't keep for himself.
Nope never.
i dont see that as good thing to do
Absolutely.
No because stealing is still stealing.
Yea if I'm the poor person I'm helping
I do like Robin Hood
no
I don't steal
No..
Yeah
