cause you're hitting right on the nerve. the integrity of nerves is so important to the physical function of your body, that the body evolved a more extreme way than just regular pain to signal to you to stop whatever is causing this irritation.

you can look it up. it's the "nervus ulnaris" and it is pretty exposed at that spot.
