I have a screw in my tire and im losing 2 psi a day is it safe to drive until next week?

Im gonna make an appointment at the dealer for next week. I do have a small electric air pump in my car in case of emergency. Will it be ok?

Just go down to your dollar store and buy a plug kit read the instructions if you've never done it before and put a plug in it it's that simple if you're not sure of yourself have a friend help you or send me a message I can tell you how to do a very quickly it's very safe but be by an air compressor just in case you can't pull the screw out and put a plug in that fast

Having a small air pump in your car means you should be safe as long as you regularly inflate it. However, try to drive as little as possible to avoid wearing out the tire further. Underinflated tires can easily cause uneven wear and difficulties in handling.

Happened to me more than I like…easy fixing from local tire shops for $10.-$20…in 30 minutes…even under warranty… I don’t bother with dealers…too complicated and time consuming unless it’s some major issue.

At the dealer yes but i guess i could take it to a tire shop plenty around here but the car is under warranty so i take it to the dealer.

Your question isn't as simple as a yes or know. Your question is asked as though the situation is static, and it's not. Driving the car will change the situation, could make the leak bigger.

Also why take it to a dealer (unless it voids the warranty some how and I wouldn't think a tire repair would). I'd just take it to the local tire shop and get in patched. Problem solved!

If the screw remains in no because it is getting compressed every revolution. Take it to a mechanic and get it patched very quick fix normally also real cheap. Better than risking a complete blow out

It would be annoying having to pump it up all the time but for normal travel i'd live with it until I could fix it. I guess if you're doing lots of high speed travel (autobahn) or carrying a lot of weight it might be more of a concern.

luckily no i live and work in the city only 30 mph speed limit here. So i should be fine?

I would think so, just for a week and in town. You might want to have a recover truck number just in case the worst should happen though. Aren't there same day drive in tyre stations near you?

I do have a small spare tire in my trunk if worse comes to worst, i guess. It's not a full-size tire but like a small spare.

Yes there are plenty of tire shops round here. But i will see how bad it is tomorrow. I did add some air to the tire today and i will see what the tpms sensor reads tomorrow. But the car is under warranty so i just take it to the dealer for any repairs.

If you start at 30 psi you will be at 16 psi in 7 days. Why not stop at a gas station each day and take it up to 35 psi. Do both sides the same.

The dealer? Dude find a used tire shop and get that tire repaired.

Just keep air in it and don't drive fast. You don't need to wait and go to the dealer. Just go to the nearest tire shop tomorrow and have them plug it or patch it, which is cheap and quick.

I don't know where you live, but it should not take that long to get tire fixed. Get some fix-a-flat if you really have to wait

Honestly i would go earlier but i want to have a day off work and it probably won't be until next week. I will know my work schedule tomorrow so hopefully i set up an appointment tomorrow.

How far are you driving? 2 PSI / day is not much but it will get worse over time.
