Who is chad and stacy, and where did these memes started?

I seen a lot of "Chad" memes online, "Chad" is a man that looks this.

As for "Stacy" I have seen that online as well, is a image of "Stacy" and some girl named "Becky"

And all of this makes me wonder... who is Chad and Stacy? And where did these memes started from?

They are stereotypical names of people with certain characteristics, but chosen equally for their underlying truth as for their humorous nature.

Chad is more correctly Chad Thundercock. He is the very alpha, hyper-masculine male that so many women completely lose all self-control around. He is most always a terrible person when it comes to morals and values, but he's physically attractive and has the confident (if not downright arrogant), dangerous, and thus attractive personality that so many women can't resist. He is typically good in bed and has oversized equipment, but that's often the extent of his practical value, because women won't ever get much else from him. He's the woman that a lot of women want but can never get (and by "get", I mean, get a relationship commitment from). He bangs tons of women, but he doesn't commit, and he usually doesn't even pretend that he's ever even remotely interested in monogamy, but the girls who want him only nod in agreement and jump into his bed.

Stacy is the "fake plastic Barbie" who has gone out of her way to look like and act like a ho. She will unabashedly trade sex for money, favors, access, or status. She is almost always overtly sexual, almost always significantly "surgically enhanced", is obsessed with her looks and her Instagram image, is usually an "influencer" (at least in her mind), has had an OF page since before most people knew what the Internet was, and sees herself as a 10/10.

Becky is the girl-next-door. She is pretty but isn't obsessed with her looks, she doesn't dress overtly sexually, has no plastic surgery, tattoos, body piercings, or other body mods, and she's had one or two serious boyfriends and a low (as in low single digit) body count. Many girls see her as "plain" and "boring" and don't understand why so many men are attracted to her and see her as "wife material."

The person who made the cartoon about the girls is either a girl or a really shallow guy, because she makes it seem like Stacy is the big winner - but Stacy ends up alone at 40 with ultra-luxury desires that she can't afford, bleached straw-like hair that's falling out, and a bunch of plastic parts that are hanging WAY lower than when they were originally installed asking "where are all the good men at?" as they day-drink and feed their 11 cats.

Meanwhile, the Becky's have husbands and children and are surrounded by their extended families and have full lives.

I only knew one "chad" growing up and he was a short stocky guy that smoked a lot of weed and drank copious amount of liquor. He played football, but he was chunky. So I guess it wasn't him.

I know the Becky came from a viral piece of art made to mock the bimbofication trend in reverse. The two girls you see in that image are the two ends of that spectrum. It started with a bimbo blonde (right) and turned into a booky nerd (left) through a series of transitioning bodies. It also turned into a reason why the artist went completely silent because he was getting so much hate bc people who didn’t know about the bimbofication stuff thought he was suggesting that girls were stupid when they dressed up nice — bc this was around the time men jokes about their first date being in the pool bc of how much they hated make-up and whatnot.
