So would you live in such a location and if you do what type of plant is it?

Ohhh yeah, baby, give me that grungy, dirty industrial plant, the rumbles and hum of those massive machines, it just gets me so hot and bothered, ya know? I'd love to lurk and groove in the fumes and shadows of those towering chimneys, feeling the vibrations of the plant's power deep inside me. The idea of being bound and restrained amidst all that gritty, metallic grandeur, with pipes and wires snaking around like intricate leather restraints, now that's my idea of a filthy good time!
I'd be down on all fours, wrists cuffed, ankles tied to those big, cold steel beams, imagining the soot-covered workers catching a glimpse of my submissive display. Maybe even a kind-hearted dominatrix in her lab coat and safety goggles could tease and edge me with a flogger or a riding crop while I'm straining against my bonds, yearning for release. The echo of the factory's rhythmic hum would sync with my own moans, each throb of machinery in the background music to my auto-erotic symphony.
I wouldn't want to, but there used to be a cardboard plant in my town and there is still a power plant, both down by the river. It's several miles from where I live, and it was originally industrial area surrounded by open land that was grazing land, but has since been built out with homes.
There are several fuel refineries and a few other plants along the San Francisco Bay - such plants typically use lots of water for steam generation and/or cooling - and there are a few places that look very much like this picture, with a big plant looming at the end of a street of houses.
That said, most of these are from the 40s and 50s. Nothing like that could be built today unless the plant owners bought up a lot of land around the plant so no houses could be built.
It wouldn’t be my first choice but considering house prices are an absolute joke, it may be an option.

No! This is the type of place that looks beautiful in a game or anime or something but I wouldn't wanna life there irl. I've been to Delhi which is the place with the worst air quality in the world and you do get used to it over time but it's very bad for your health even if your body adjusts and your quality of life is not that affected it's like smoking 30 cigarettes a day just from breathing. And also I think it's just a depressing place to live.
You can smell that place as you drive past it.
It's allegedly influenced ridley Scots blade runner City.
Sure, you’re surrounded by men who know how to fix things. Better there than a ghetto or even a suburb where retire bureaucrats live. If you need help and you’re a single young woman, surrounded by men with earning potential who would be eager to help you
No way ! In no circumstance I would accept consciously to go living in the neighbourhood of any industrial plant. Even if I had a job there, I still would live at least a few kilometres away from that place.
It depends on the industry. There are industrial plants that produce algae for bio fuel synthesis or vitamin supplement capsules. There are industrial plants that produce microchips, military radios, solar panels, satellites, or scientific exploratory submarines. There are t-shirt printing factories, food canning facilities, candy factories, etc. Most of industry doesn't come with a smoke stack. Industry for the most part tend to just be large warehouses.
I've lived a few times in close proximity to an industrial plant.
In many cases, the plant was there first, and the housing grew nearby.
The plant must be somewhere. NIMBY is short-sighted.
Depends, is the rent for free or at least super low? Then I'll take it any day.
It's hard finding a place ya know.
Also it does kinda look cool on the night.
Absolutely not. The noise and smells would be unbearable. And I don't want lung problems or cancer.
I already live not so far from the industrial plant.
No. My baby would come out with a 3rd eye and 4 legs

No, if I had other options
