u 1 ywell... I won't complain, I'll just appreciate the good, the better and the great
the weather has been surprisingly nice, for a change... lol, I am going to miss these nice cool days, lmao
this year seems to be going a bit faster though, or that's how it feels... lol35 Reply- 1 y
It feels that way to me too!!
- 1 y
well, I do hope it is for good reasons... as they say, time seems to feel like it flies, when you're having a good time, lol
- 1 y
Lol!! Let's just say a lot of things have happened in the last 12 months for me and it has made me feel like I have been very busy mentally and physically because I have been working hard to process it all. 🙃 Hence why it feels like time is flying...

well, I am glad to see you smiling after all (=

Thank you!!🫶

Also some people at these kind of events I would just be happier to not see. So it has been a measure of stressful. But the nice weather rolling in for us, will be the silver lining 🌧️☁️⛅️🪷 this spring season lol

I just quit my job for I start a new one in August and it's kind of sad because I will be leaving the folk I have built personal relationships with for the last 10 years to move to somewhere I know no one. However, it's warmer and sunnier so there's that to look forward to.

Change isn't always a bad thing. As much as it is difficult sometimes it's needed.
- 1 y
Of course you can. And if you never do it you risk reaching a point of stagnation in life in general. Which is not a good thing!
- 1 y
Stagnation and being settled aren't all that different. For me it's about the negativity of how things have been here over the last 3 and a half years and that the system I work in just grinds my gears to the point I had to get out. Just last night I was talking with some former colleagues about this and a bit of news came out to the youngest of us (early 30s) just had a kid and got on to the housing market) that this colleague of his who is about a decade younger and less than half his experience in the job got hired THIS year at about 10% higher than he's at and he's been there for about 6 years already. He was PISSED and that knowledge that experience is not valued and other issues with how employers treat us is just toxic.
- 1 y
I hear of a lot of people that encounter similar situations like this and I can understand how demoralising and stressful it can be to be undervalued but overworked. I'm sorry it's this way. Do you love your job?
- 1 y
I do actually like the job I do with the people I do it and even the place I do it in. BUT the system around it including the union attitude is just alien to me and breeds resentment.
I used to work in Asia and UK where the system was clear and there was no opaque wages situations, there were pay scales and everyone fitted on them and had a clear pathway to experience (though there was some weird af shit in Scotland where ones age became a factor in how high you got placed even though you had no experience in the profession) and improved working conditions. It meant more experienced were paid higher. Here, that's not the case, so resentment builds up and the managers were not held accountable for their promises which caused me to take my employer to court because the union wouldn't.
It was messy and messed with my mental health as I've been doing this gig since the 1980s and when some management gonk decides the promises you were given are to be ignored then the union does it's utmost to press you to accept their "apology" but not fulfil the promise then you get a bit pissed off. - 1 y
No need to apologise. If you need to vent send me a message anytime.

Lol!! I don't think so. You certainly won't regret it.
- 1 y
Lol!! You really enjoy bike riding huh?
- 1 y
I do. I was out this morning mountain biking on a bike that's a bit too light and small on an XCO track and my pedal clips were too tight, tyres too hard so took a couple of tumbles into the dirt. No serious harm but now it's the hoj (term for motorbike ride) down to the swimming poor/spa

weird. I have been helping a homeless person i spent tree months trying to help and hundreds of dollars but when it rains I still. worry about him. I work for a company for the last 6 months and they've fired my boss every month. I'm heavily invested in Bitcoin but the wealthy are keeping it's price depressed
