Do you use a Drying Rack, as opposed to an electric dryer for delicate /fragile clothes (underwear, bras, good sportswear, "UnderArmor" style?

My one time girlfriend bought a 'drying rack' and we put it out in the Solarium to dry delicate stuff, - hers and mine - and I found that EVEN my underwear and 'exercise gear' lasted longer if dried on a rack in the sun, -rather than beating them to death in the dryer.

What do you do?

We only have a drying rack, but then we're blessed with about 10 months of relatively warm weather and virtually no rain. During the winter and rainy months, it just takes much longer, but eventually they'll dry. Except for jeans, which we'll take inside when they are still moist.

@Tarifa We too, are in a warm climate... and I even dry our jeans on the 'rack' even tho it takes much longer- as they do last longer that way. We have a gas dryer, and I am working on junking that and getting 'electric' since we have Solar and a Storage battery... to dump SOU CAL Edison.

I think it's the Italian in me, I have a clothes dryer but I always use the drying rack. I also live in a hot climate, sometimes it's even faster to use the drying rack, and it's better for the clothes. The only thing I really use the dryer for is bed sheets.

@MikeTheBartender Really better all the way around. Even with a 'good'dryer, they do beat the helll out of your clothes with the tumblers

I prefer the drying rack if there's sunshine outside. But if you put them just outside and not protected like you have them, the bugs go on them and leave little dark colored stains. Now what on earth could that be from?🤣🤣🤣

I only dry my clothes for about 5 mins to get wrinkles out then I hang all my clothes up. I agree they keep clothes lasting longer
