Why do black men sound different when they talk a certain way, is it a black accent or what is it called?

Depends on where they grew up that’s where the accent comes from, not because there black dude. The city/country they grew up in is where the accent comes from just the same as the slang they grew up hearing

So imma go ahead and assume you are not black, so what I’ll say is that it is a bit rude to refer to the way someone talks as a “black accent” there’s no such thing considering black isn’t even a race lol… my father is black and I don’t go up to him saying “why do you have a black accent?”

Maybe lay off the “black accent” thing then? Everyone speaks differently to everyone. Just like you wouldn’t go up to your mom and say “my boyfriend has a big dick” or how you wouldn’t go up to your father and ask him “I have a bump on my vagina” like you would to your mother

It's cultural. Like a New York or Boston or Southern accent. Only it's not tied to geography. It's tied to a culture Black people were confined to by others based on the color of their skin. But yeah, I'd call it an accent and colloquialisms based on culture.
