Are taller Latino people rare?

Ok I've only met one Mexican man that really stand 6'1 barefoot, a Peruvian 5'8 woman and a Honduras 5'11 man. Though all 3 of them were much lighter in tone and had distinctive facial features. Obviously the people are a lot shorter in those countries.

Those 3 would be the average height men and women from Netherlands. So are taller Latinos so rare?

Latino is not a epigenetic sub group more of an ethnicity. But average height is a function of genetics and diet as well a health. Typically latinos in the western hemisphere are a mixed of Spanish heritage with varing degrees of indigenous heritage. With a large mix of post colonial African heritage and some western European. All thing being equal Hispanic and latinos as whole in the US average lesser height than Nordic, slavic, Indian, sub Saharan or Germanic heritage, with Mediterranean, fare east Asian cultures have a mix height averages.

I've never met any that were what I would consider tall. Like you said in another comment though, there are probably a lot of taller Latinos that are mixed that don't even appear Latino.

I really never thought of it but I did go to school with quite a few and there were more below average height than above. The guy in my picture is actually half Mexican and he's obviously tall lol but he also has German and Irish in him. His dad is over 6' but his mom is tiny.

Yeah the 6'1 Mexican guy I met looked similar to him and I could tell he was mixed with European features. So basically tall Latinos have more European features in them.

Most of the Latinos I know are either very tall or very short. The Canadian ones are tall, the gypsy ones in Mexico tend to be short.

I have a Nicaraguan friend Thats 6 foot 7 I’ve never seen such a tall Latin person before
