I recently had reason to go down a rabbit hole about romantic fantasy (aka romantasy) novels, which have exploded in popularity in just the last couple of years, with an estimated market value of ~ $1billion.

These books are pornography for women. They are nothing more than smut with a storyline. If you think porn videos have extreme sexual content, check out some of these books (mostly digital and audio books).

These books are written by women, for women (women are 90% of readers of these books) and they confirm all the stereotypes about what women desire (bad boys, extremely dominant men, rich men, huge dicks).

It was very eye opening!
