Have you ever had a terrifying standoff with an aggressive goose?

I've yet to have aggressive geese go from bark to bite, although it sometimes seems that they might.
There are plenty of them at my subdivision lake.
I just keep walking on by.
They back off as I continue on my way.

I ran into one of an aggressive goose years ago. The neighbor up the road had a flock of geese. The gander would put the run on their big hound dog.

They love nesting close to footpaths and whoa betide anyone who walks past. Then you get the ones who spot you eating and hiss aggressively until you feed them. They won't go away until they've convinced all the foods gone

Yes, my father had some geese. One day one of them decided he was going to mess me up. I ran away but he hit me in the leg with his wing. You should have seen the bruise.
