Are greasy restaurant floors and oily shoe prints harming the environment?

I work at mcdonalds, and the floors are so greasy, they are slippery. As you could imagine the bottom of our shoes have a layer of grease on them. I was walking across the parking lot in the rain, and my foot prints left a rainbow color, and then the rain would wash it away. This has got to be bad for the environment. Is there anything I can do, or should be doing?
