I keep a few bags in the bottom of the trash bin. It makes it easy to put a new bag in the bin when taking the full one out.

We have smaller trash cans in our two bathrooms, office and living room. We don't line them with bags because we don't put anything messy in them.
We have a main trash bin in our laundry room next to the kitchen. It is one of those with a peddle that opens the lid. We line that one with white "kitchen-size" plastic bags. We dump all kinds of things in that, including the contents of the smaller trash cans. When it is full, I change the bag and take the full one outside to our trash cans.
The replacement bags are in a door under our kitchen sink counter right next to the laundry room door, so they are very convenient.
Yes, that is an old janitor's trick that I learned many years ago.
that makes me crazy and i'm like whatever just make sure everything is super clean each time 🤷🏼♀️
No because if there's leakage those extra bags get yucky

that would infuriate me to Kingdom Come... back and forth
and I don't even know what exactly do you mean by that... and I am shocked to the core... what?
I have a larger bin than yours, and I have 3 plastic bags inside that I use for recycling.
Paper and cardboard I keep separate.
One bag I use for recycling metal, glass, plastic, cartons.
Second bag for plastic bags, wrappers, and plastic to preserve food freshness.
Third bag for general rubbish.
Then I recycle the items every week.
No, I hate it when people do that. All that does is make sure that the next bag you use will be filthy, and it will get all over your hands when you change the bag.
Well, if you didn't use cheap biodegradable bags they probably wouldn't leak.
@NoDecision They don't get dirty because they're leaking; they get dirty because unless the trash can is brand new, it's had at least some debris placed in it at some point. Life happens, and naively thinking that the inside is going to be scrupulously clean is simply not realistic, in my opinion.
It will be if you are the only one using it. If you have kids or room mates, well, you are doomed to have a dirty trash can. 😫
I keep about five bags in the can bottom. The roll is elsewhere.
No , but I've seen it done , maybe I should but just never have , I do all the garbage , so I may consider this vital action.
Let's see..
No cuz if a bag rips or something and it leaks I don't want that juice all over the other bags at least the bin i can easily wash it.
@AviatorTom Actually sometimes I do that too
Yes but we never put anything nasty in our bins.
It’s easier for sure.. I don’t do it tho.. but I’ve seen it in hotels before
I use paper grocery bags and I don't use plastic trash bags.
I use a brown grocery bag from the grocery store where they bag your groceries. I live by myself now I don’t need a huge big garbage can anymore at least while I’m living by myself
Wouldn't the bags get dirty if there was a leak from another one
@AviatorTom Yes, always do that, easier to change bags.
No I do not... but thats a great idea. See GAG can be informative!
no cause sometimes the trash water seeps out the bag and would then drench all the fresh bags i keep at the bottom.
I usually keep a few bags in the bottom of the bin, but the truth is that when I run out, I forget to put more in, so it's not really all that useful.
My wife did that. It's a decent summary of why we are separated.
I do. My mom showed me how she does it and I have picked up the habit also.
No, I don't think it's sanitary
@queenofcardio Is a trash bin supposed to be sanitary?
Lmao I was thinking about if the bag leaks 😂
No, because the bags sometimes leak.
Yes we do that. It’s very convenient.
In the bin so I know where to find them.
Always. Make life a little easier
I don't. Never thought of doing this.
Yes I do. I put five bags in the bottom.
Sometimes people at my work did that
Yes just not a food bin.
No..
just enough.
