Why won't my boyfriend stop picking his nose in front of me?

I feel embarrassed even asking about it,but he always does it in front of me,he knows I hate it,but doesn't care and he'll flick it or wipe it somewhere..I am a bit of a hygiene freak but come on that's disgusting.The last time he did it I got so annoyed and said what is wrong with you,how can you not think that is wrong?why Doc you do it if you know I hate it,it's like you do it to get on my nerves,throughout it all,he laughed and said because it feels good getting it out and I said whatsoever you can't use a tissue?And he said yeah that's too much effort and then laughed,I then said,you're annoying.I tickled him at one point to lighten the mood but argh,is it the more I nag,the more he wants to do it?I also said what are you,10?I realize I may have over reacted but in the past I've told me it bothers me and he doesn't care,so I blew up and got annoyed.I don't wanna see that sh*t!What do you think?

Tell him he has to do it in private or you'll start picking your nose (or whatever gross personal thing you do) in front of him too :)

I figure that's the most lighthearted way to go about it ... and if you do no personal gross things, well, perhaps you two aren't very well-suited to each other. An older man perhaps? ;-)

Haha yeah I thought about doing something like that,I don't know maybe not even say pardon me after I burp or something,because he picks up on it if I don't say pardon me,even though. Was just about to say it!

I think the whole no sex for you thing will just make him want to do it more,I don't think he sees the big deal,but not saying pardon me,maybe I could just be like well you do that in front of me and don't stop so,why should I say it?Haha not sure how I should put it.

I do feel comfortable around him and lol yes I do,but I don't directly pick my nose and flick it somewhere and then use my partners computer straight after.

LOL. I mean you really have three options. You can break up with him. You can try to work onba solution. Or you can just accept it. It all depends really on how much you love him and how bad you want the relationship to work because yes relationships do require effort to be put into them to work

Yeah I do love him but his behavior lately is really bothering me and our relationship isn't the same anymore,makes me wonder if he wants out.

Well I only partly want out,if our relationship continues like this because it want been going well,regardless of his gross behavior.But I do love him and I do want us to work but his making me want to leave..we live with my parents so makes me wonder if he feels the want to leave but it's too hard because he is already in too deep.

That is really gross, I had the same issue with my ex, I never knew he was doing that as I had always seen him outside until I visited him in his place. I liked him but then I figured ı can't deal with it for the rest of my life so ended it... And it is not being comfortable, that is nothing to be comfortable as it is dirty and disgusting, when beinlg alone or with someone else. There is water and tissue in the world so move and clean up properly

Just talk to him seriously if he respects you and stop it good, and if not move on.. but tell him you hae already mentioned so he won't be shocked. I could not tell or mention this to him as he was older and just left him.

I know!I don't know if I would dump him over it,seeing as we've been together for ages but,it seems recently he does it more.I think he enjoys pissing me off.

Hmm I've been wondering that,because he gets annoyed at things I say really easily and every week we seem to be annoyed at each other about something.Its hard to know if he does want to end things though,I mean how can you be sure.If I ask he'll just get annoyed and I don't want to push him..

im curious how everything worked out for you... im kinda going threw the same situation. i literally want to smack my boyfriend when he picks his nose. like jus do it in private. it makes me so disgusted of him. i love him to pieces but i would like there to be some privacy in our relationship.

@gabililliana we aren't together anymore (not for that reason though lol and it was that long ago that I don't remember if he ended up stopping. But you can always just ask him why he feels the need to do that in front of you... If you don't say anything then he isn't going to know it bothers you and will continue to do it. Hopefully he is respectful enough to stop

picking nose is not considered emergency or urgent need like holding fart. of course he shouldn't do that if he is not "forced" to do so. instead, why doesn't he pick his nose when he is taking shower? why doesn't he do that when he is alone?

No idea why he doesn't do it alone,it's gross.
