Why is my boyfriend nosey?

My boyfriend has a constant habit of picking up my cellphone any time he can, and going through my call log and reading all of my text messages. I don't have anything to hide, but I'm just curious about why he's doing this? Does anyone else's boyfriend/girlfriend pick up your cell 20 times a day to check out what you've been up to?

I haven't given him any reason to suspect anything, so why does he do this?

No big deal, let him check all he wants.

okay well this could actually be a sign of a lot worse problems up on the road ahead. checking your phone once- insecurities and protectiveness, just tell him to butt out. checking it 20 times is CREEPY and honestly ALARMING! he has some major issues if he is checking up on you all the time, and it's totally not okay for him to do that. you aren't his property or anything, so tell him to butt out of your buisness. you aren't hiding anything, you just don't need him going through your sh*t.

sounds like he's really insecure about trusting you and what you do on your own time, enough to even breaking your privacy and justify it as protecting you or figuring out what is you think of him when he's not around. That is a really a issue on his end to not let you express your self without him overseeing every action you do. He's also a guy in which kinda explains him being stupid but not a excuse for the underhanded things he does.

He's paranoid, has low self esteem, has trust issues, is screwing around himself and thinks you must be also, the list goes on. NOT normal OR acceptable if you ask me. Sounds like he has some serious baggage.
