Independent girls vs. the damsel in distress?

just thought of this a second ago, I have a close friend who is not at all an independent woman. seriously she really acts derpy a lot and needs help with things, love her she's super sweet but I just thought maybe there was a link between her always needing help and all these guys liking her. versus me who's little miss independent over here who hates it when others help me

There's noting wrong with independent...as long as she demonstrates that she ALLOWS the guy to "be the guy". As long as you allow the guy to take the lead and help you out with things and such, being independent is a good thing. :)

One advantage of the "damsel in distress"...is that she on 1st impression seems more feminine, and will allow the guy to "be the guy".

However, this type of female will eventually turn off the guy in the long term. Also, this type of girl tends to attract more "insecure" guys.

There's nothing wrong with being independent. That's a great quality. But if you hate getting any kind of help at all WHATSOEVER, that's a bit of a problem. Guys instinctively want to help the girl they like when they can. It's just how men are. So he doesn't have to spoon feed you dinner every night, but appreciating a guy opening a door for you or helping in other small ways will be enough to attract them

Guys definitely prefer damsels in distress, but that does not mean you shouldn't be independent. Let them be the ones who change their ways, not you.

i prefer in between but more independent than dependent. Dependence gets real old real fast. If she can't help herself how would she ever be able to help me or anyone else when one needed her?
