Do I like him? How come my heart doesn't race when he's around?

This guy is definitely into me, but I'm not sure how I feel about him since I've never experienced this before.

I'm in university, and in the past when I've had a crush, my heart would race like crazy when I see or think about the person. However, with this guy, when I think about him, I'm happy. When I see him, I'm glad that he's there and it makes me walk over and say hi. When we talk to each other or text, I don't have to calculate my every move- I feel at ease to just be myself and respond the way I naturally would.

Does this mean I only like him as a friend? Or have we simply began a mature relationship?

i used to have that feeling. try to think about if you both kissing or having some romantic physical actions. how that would make you feel. if you feel gross or don't think it would make you happy then I guess you don't like him as much or just a platonic friendship

It's definitely not a crush but it could be something good. As long as you continue to enjoy his company, ask yourself a month or two from now. You will have a better idea by then what the potential of this relationship is.
