Outgoing guy acts weird around me?

Right now I have a huge crush on this guy at my school...I've only talked to him a few times a long time ago (like at the beginning of the year)...And I noticed that now he keeps staring at me sometimes he will look away but other times he just keeps staring. Like, a few days ago I was sitting after school and felt like someone was staring at me and when I turned around he was fixing his hair and quickly looked at the floor. He is usually really loud and talkative with all the other girls but when its just me and him like when he asks to borrow my phone charger he seems really polite and quiet and mumbles what he says...When I first saw him staring at me he had a really open face like raised eyebrows and big eyes with his mouth kinda dropped open...But he hasn't smiled at me or anything just blinked at me...We don't ever talk and it seems as though he deliberately tries to ignore me. And when he's talking to my friend and I'm talking to her it's like he's talking to me but not actually at me...Sorry, that's the best way I can explain it. :D He also usually makes a lot of noise when I'm near and sometimes when he looks at me he rubs his chin and looks up at me. He actually did look at me and rub his chin and then in a really smooth way asked me for my phone charger...XD He's never really paid attention to me (expect for saying that I would be good at twerking or saying I love you playfully a long time ago which are both really weird)...But I don't want to just be thinking that he likes me because I like him...a lot. :D What exactly does this mean? Am I overreacting or something or does he actually like me? Thank you very much! And sorry for my long winded story...I really do appreciate the help!

P.S.: I used to be extremely shy like super quiet but lately (the past few months) I've actually managed to open up a lot more, which is around the time that he started staring at me...
