I met this girl last year at a party. We talked a little bit, found out she is in the same college as me and everything. At almost every party I see her at we talk for a little bit. One night we danced together all night.
Anyway we exchanged numbers but we never really talked. About a month ago she Facebook chats me out of no where and we talk for a good 2 hours on there. Now at this point we haven't even seen each other for months, let alone talk. From that point on she texted me almost every day and we have been talking a lot.
She was on Co-op at the time and now we are both back on campus at the same time. She still texts me every day asking me to hang out and everything. On the weekends she asks me what I am doing and she goes to almost every single party I go to. Normally I would not ask any questions about this. But it seems that every time we are in a social environment she becomes less interested in me. Not like in a bad way, but she doesn't seem as social or outgoing with me in person.
She tells me she is an awkward person but at the same time she talks about other guys around me quite a bit. So I am not sure if she is just talking to me for the attention, if she is testing me, or if she really doesn't know what she wants.
I have had my friends ask me about her, even my parents because she wrote on my wall. My friends ask me if I am going to hook up. I said that I don't want to push things considering how she acts sometimes. It's just a really weird situation. Because that one night that we danced together, she was getting really into it then the next day we didn't even talk. She will also complain to me about certain guys that I know and how she doesn't like them, but when she sees them in person she will ask them if they are going out that night and she will act completely different. I haven't really had an opportunity to talk to her alone or anything so I really have no idea what her motives are, or if she is acting weird around me because she likes me, or because she doesn't like me and she just wants me to be there so she can talk to someone.

She has also said multiple times about how she has these friendships that she screws up by hooking up. And she calls me her friend, so I have no idea if she means that she doesn't want to screw up the relationship we already have or not.
