I hit the gym regularly and am probably considered "lean an toned." 5 days a week putting on mass and the opinions I hear are that girls don't prefer "overly muscular men." Basically guys who look like bags are rocks are not attractive. Basically a low body fat and good toning and it's good to go.
I think the perfect body weight is between the one where if you were 10 pounds over, people would say, it looks like you're gaining weigh; or, ten pounds under when people ask if you've lost weight. This goes for male or female. I think supple is best with all kinds of different stretches.
Toned build is great. Super build is kind of bulky. Nice to look at and I totally applaud the effort but overall if I were to be interested, toned wins, always.

I have a muscular build sort of similar to this: link except with chest hair.
While many girls (and sometimes guys) compliment my built shape, girls don't seem to like it at all. They want a "toned" skinny guy like Justin Beaver. They say I'm too big and look like a tool. They like smaller less ripped guys.
It is tough being a man amongst boys...
a toned body is nice, I don't really find the muscular build to be attractive.
