Boyfriend calling other girls hun? Is this okay?

I really don't know how to feel about this. I'm a really jealous person so I don't like it at all but I don't know if I'm over reacting. Do I need to talk to him about it, and how would I go about it or shall I just leave it.

Well, I think it's not all right but it might be a double standard, I take on that. My native language isn't English but I do slip English words here and there in daily situations. You'd be surprised, but I call my best guy friends ''babe'' everyday. There are like... 2-3 of them that are ''worthy'' of it. They're all funny guys that I've known for years, so it's an inside joke. Just like I've called guys ''princess'' and ''champion'' before, I'm basically just horsing around. A guy, on the other hand, has never called me ''babe'' or anything like that, as I recall, and the very vast majority of my friends have been male for the past 5 years. I think that if he feels allowed to call girls a pet name like that, it's wrong because he does it knowingly that the girls will feel flattered about it. That's the problem. He doesn't do it because it's amusing, he does it cause girls get a kick out of it. That's the red flag IMO. Maybe I'm overanalyzing it too, but considering that I, myself, use that trick on my friends for the longest time and that none of them has ever done the same to me... Why don't you just introduce the matter with him calmly? Tell him how it makes YOU feel, not why you think he does it. Maybe he'll get the memo and be more careful.

It really depends on the context of the subject they're speaking. And if it's in front of you, then I don't think he means anything by it, maybe a force of habit. But if he's talking to girls behind your back and calling them that, then yes, maybe it's best of you look more into that matter

this is simple, if you don't like it tell him, it obvious important enough for you to ask this question so its something that needs to be addressed before it gets worst, P.S. I think you should be the only one he uses terms of endearment with, but that is just me

You need to tell him you feel insecure when he calls other girls hun, and see how he reacts. It might be just a habit, especially if he's from the Baltimore area. They call EVERYBODY hon in the working class neighborhoods up there. It's a weird old industrial thing I guess. Waitresses do it all the time when I'm there, and it always takes getting used to.

i think it's a bit of an over reaction. hun is rather harmless and hopefully he doesn't use the same pet names for you that he uses for other people

It is more than likely nothing, but if you feel uncomfortable with it tell him, he should try and refrain from it then.

Not that I'm aware of. I noticed he called a girl hun in a text and it was deleted a few days later.

IMO he is a gigantic flirt but I wouldn't worry about his faithfulness.
