Trump compared himself and his crowd sizes to MLK Jr. He lied about Jan. 6th again. He called Kamala Harris stupid. He said we are in a Great Depression just as the stock market is having a gigantic recovery from like two bad days. Everything is coming to an end for him and it's so obvious. I understand why he is in complete meltdown mode. But something about it made me feel sad. I feel he is struggling from a severe mental health crisis. I am scared he and his vile cultists will resort to terrible violence.

My commute to work is 30 minutes one way. Most of it is on a highway and then from a highway into an expressway. If there's no one close in front of me, and it's not raining, I'll use the cruise control.

I'm pretty fortunate that my commute very rarely has any traffic so there's never any stop and go issue.

If you look at so called haunted houses two things always stand out. The ghosts are always dead white people and they died back in a time when being racist was the norm. Which got me thinking, are ghosts racist or does their attitude mellow with the passing of time?

I'm just curious

I'm in university and there's this guy in my class who I think is super cute but he seems to be more on the awkward or quiet side? Like in a group setting he's definitely more likely to stay on the side and maybe throw out a witty remark but definitely not one of the people who are the center of attention. He's relatively quiet most of the time but obviously more comfortable with people he seems to be better friends with.

I haven't really gotten to talk to him much but usually when we have he's still pretty quiet. Like he'll make some stupid joke occasionally but still relatively quiet. Something I noticed though is that this boy hardlyyy ever gives me any eye contact. He'll stare off at whatever in front of him while we're talking. But while he's walking with another dude or even a girl he's kinda friends with he can look at them just fine. Like if I'm sitting next to my friend he'll look at my friend at talk to them ok but he won't look at me.

The thing is I'm an awkward girl too. Really shy and awkward and can't really find the right words to say. So I can't tell if it's just me making things uncomfortable in general. When we text though (we've only had like a solid 3 convos through text which I initiated) he's really fun and talkative. I felt like it was so natural and fun which doesn't just happen with anyone for me. None of that comes through in real life but I think thats just the awkwardness. I really want to get to know him more but I don't know if I have a shot because he never initiates convo.

Also one time I sent him this dumb Instagram reel that was like "the person with this initial owes you ______". and he responded with something like "maybe sometime but my schedule has been all over the place". Was that just him trying to let me down nicely or is he actually down to hang out? I wanna keep trying to text him but I don't want to bug him if he's busy or just finds me uncomfortable.

Most of the time (other than obviously feeling tired), I'll find myself getting emotionally overwhelmed extremely easily. I'm running on 3 hrs of sleep right now, it's not even noon yet and I already feel like I'm going to have an emotional breakdown over nothing. 😫

If a friend or relative invited you to a commitment ceremony (not an actual wedding) would you come or not?

The reason I've asked if because my parents were invited to a relative's commitment ceremony recently. It was a private invitation with just them and their close friends that knows about their situation. The woman is disabled and gets benefits from that. If they get married, they'll remove her from those benefits so her boyfriend is trying to work harder to get promoted so he can add her to his policy, they'll get married afterwards, she'll continue getting benefits through his insurance and they can file taxes together. They have no kids but would like to adopt.

Due to the specific nature of the case, my parents are coming to the invitation. However, if it were done for the simply reason of hating marriage or the typical ''I want marriage and he just wants a commitment ceremony'' and no one is struggling financially nor suffering anything, other than refusing to married, then nope. In that case, my parents wouldn't be driving 2 hours away, excusing themselves from work and go out of their way for a ceremony that's not an actual wedding. I think he same too. It depends on why. I'm not missing school for nothing.
