Becoming A REAL MAN at an EARLY age

What does it take to be a REAL man? Real men handle their responsibilties, take care of things they are supposed to. Real men know making one woman happy is a lot more of a satisfying task than Poor juggling relationships between several women.

Previously I discussed the reason why so many marriages fail which has to do with keeping things special for the relationship, but after much thought I have more to add onto that. This myTake has to do on the man's position. I believe it starts much earlier than the age when one is preparing themselves for marriage. It's the lack of preparation for marriage that is making many marriages and relationships fail. Just like if you want to be good at a sport or any talent, you have to spend many hours honing your craft.

This also applies to marriage. Many just believe that you can decide that at a certain age you will settle down and do things the correct way. However this can be a difficult thing to do. That is why it is best to prepare for this lifestyle early in life. This starts in the teenage years.

You see, in this day and age being a young male teenager they are expected to not care about young women. It is the popular thing to do to have multiple girlfriends and cheat. Now I am not saying that all are proud of these actions (though many are) but what am I am saying is that it doesn't bother them enought to keep them from doing it again. Particularly because so many are participating in this mass disloyalty to women they feel like they aren't in the boat alone. But you see it takes a real man to be different. It takes a real man to go against the grain and do what is right. Age does not determine what a man is, actions do. I have heard many say that they are going to get it right when they are older but I find myself wondering how that is going to work out if their whole life they've been doing wrong. If you spend your entire life doing the wrong thing you aren't going to know how to do the right thing when the time comes. So used to doing wrong. So used to only caring about yourself. So used to doing whatever you want, it's just simply training yourself to get it all wrong.

Young men isn't it Smarter to practice the right thing with the wrong girl so you won't wrong the girl that you are trying to get it right with?

Be that man now so you won't struggle later.

I agree that a real man should be loyal and treat his girlfriend with respect. I think that a man who says he is still young to take a relationship seriously, either is being honest about himself or he doesn't love the girl he's with. In the first case, a teenager might not be mentally ready for a serious relationship, and it's honest that he admits it, but bad that he pursues a relationship when he doesn't know how to maintain one. In the second case, if a man knows a woman is wrong for him, or just a way to pass his time, he should not have a relationship in the first place or be honest about his intentions. Finally, a man who treats women badly will definitely have trouble treating the wman he loves well. However, this doesn;t mean a man has to make relationships with random women in order to be experienced when the right one comes. when you love someone, you trust him/her and you are willing to listen to their problems and make compromises, as long as you are mature enough. Previous relationships can only have a negative effect on you, not a positivve one

yea and I think it's a lot a girls out there who aren't looking for relationships and are willing to go and have "fun" with the boys. I guess I worded that kind of badly when I was talking about practicing with the wrong girl. What I meant by that was when trying to date someone treat them like the relationship was meant to last and if that person turns out to be the wrong person for you then at least when you find the right person you would have treated them correctly and they would be able to trust you

You could have just done the Take focusing on both sexes, not just men, cause it seems like there's also a trend in women to cheat on their partners and have sex with anyone that offers.
I would have titled this take "How to be a DECENT person" and target it towards both men and women, cause basically everything you said is applicable to women too.
And I agree that people should be more faithful, that's why I don't want a girlfriend right now, cause there's very high chances of getting cheated on.

The focus was more on boys in their teenage years and how they act toward females because that is what I see. It is true that women also cheat but what I personally see at this age is a lot more boys cheating on girls and a lot of the girls that do become cheaters are like that because they feel no one is going to be faithful to them so there's no point of them being faithful. Article was simply on what I see personally. I think that boys should be more respectful to girls and then so many girls wouldn't turn cold hearted. Though there still would be cheaters male and female, both realizing that leaving is better than cheating will help a lot of people.

It sounds good on paper but has no practical application. The things that cause marriages to fail are generally linked more to maturation issues than practiced behaviors; after you fully mature and are able to make competent decisions things go much smoother. The main issue with statistics is no one reads them carefully; the divorce rate drops significantly after you hit a certain age ( dalrock.files.wordpress.com/.../...orce_by_age.png ) as this easy to read graph shows.

The reality is that it's simply not something you actually can prepare for. It's far more complex.

And by reading this it sounds like you are implaing that all men cheat, that we are brought up to not care about a woman and men are the reason why marriages don't last. That is total BS. Marriages fail for many other reasons aside from infidelity, but yes it's a big one. Fact of the matter is, everyone is selfish and does what they want to do. Do you truly see people put someone else above themselves? Most men and women do what they want, when they want to. We have a highly entitled society today, and the world always revolves around the self. Marriage is also, in my opinion, an outdated custom.

@SakuraChii True, I meant it for the vast majority of people. You are right though, there are people who go above and beyond for the ones they love. It's more common for parents to sacrifice for their children, then it is for a man or a woman to truly sacrifice for their spouse. Just from what I have seen, and what I feel about it.

Actually my opinion is teenager boys to stop thinking it's okay to cheat and lie and not care about a girl. That it would help them if the future if they practice treating women correctly now. If the relationship doesn't work out with the girl that they are currently with aka the "wrong girl" when they do find the right girl they will treat her correctly.

Anyone can not cheat on their girlfriend, it's really not that hard. You don't deserve a medal or recognition for it, it is your responsibility, you are expected to be faithful.

What defines what a real man is up to the man himself. When a boy decides he is a man, he knows that he is one and he acts accordingly so that others will see him as a man aswell.

It is not up to you, a woman, who is a 'real' man and who is not.

P. S. it is reported that women actually cheat more than men do.

I was saying that if they treat the girl correctly while they are teenagers and the girl they are dating turns out to be the girl not meant for them aka "the wrong girl" when they are older and find the right girl for then then they will treat her correctly.
