More than a little distorted, completely perverted. You can't have romance without equality, imao... and our Hollywood reality is always the opposite of that, it's always about the rich guy and the poor girl, directly or by implication..
well a lot of people in general are psycho in relationships...
but romance is dead because I can only speak for myself but.
I'v had plenty of instances where I wanted to pay for a girls meal and be a gentleman only to hear so rant about how women are "liberated" and dont need no man to do or pay anything for them, they dont need flowers or things like that... feminism killed romance I know I will get a bad flame for this but I said it Feminism sucks
I'm not really sure tbqh. Probably in large part a result of the whole modern-day 'feminist' movement, which s really more of elevating the platform on which women sit in first world countries even more. Making them feel all the more entitled to get what they want, when they want it without having to do a thing.
Romance will never dye, the concept of romance will always change whit the time and it will depend on the cultural context of each population.

Lol, tell that to the women out there. No really, please tell that to all the women out there. Women seem to be under the delusion that romance is as you put it "catering to evey one of her needs" that isn't romance that's narcissism!
nah I noticed them now moreso than before because I saw a take/question here asking why romance must be dead. Why can't we have relationships like in the old romance movies and such. As a serious, genuine question. -_-
True. The entitlement from some people is astounding. I say a question on here from a girl who was disappointed that her boyfriend "only" bought her a fifty dollar sweatshirt and took her to dinner and a movie for her birthday. Um. How did all that have an "only" in the same sentence? Or more recently, one who was annoyed that her boyfriend had bought food for and chatted with a homeless man instead of paying attention to her on their date. So many girls are left who expect the guy to pay for every date and are always expecting him to do all the work while not wanting to do anything themself for the relationship. Not only do they not appreciate how amazing their partner is, but they take all the great things they do for granted, as if they just by default deserve everything from him while not reciprocating. I don't understand.
People keep saying that, that I'm mature. (I'm fifteen.) But every time, I don't really think of it as maturity. Shouldn't realizing that you get out what you put in be common sense? Isn't it logical to know that a relationship will fail or just be full-on lousy and loveless if you're not putting in the effort that your partner is?
They don't want a romantic relationship, they want an ATM or sex with a hot guy. Or they're looking for both. It reminds me of that annoying newish song: "Where do the good boys go to hide away?" They're not hiding, you're overlooking the genuine ones for the one who'll buy you dinners and jewelry and make you feel like a queen when you're doing nothing to make him feel like a king.
That's really sad, actually. I want to facepalm at some people's relationships. I knew a girl who dated one guy she claimed to love (although the way she said she loved him sounded like how one might say they love a particular dessert), broke up with him after a day or two, the next day was dating her ex-boyfriend, broke up with him after a day or two after he pulled an admittedly really selfish mood, ranting about he was immature and always pulling the same shit (well no shit, you broke up for a reason), only to get back together the next day after he apologized. Then broke up with him again after another day, then almost tried to date someone else right after.
It's almost pathetic to see this happening, people going through person after person, clearly not giving a damn about any of them. I almost lost it when she started talking about a guy I genuinely like, because it annoyed the hell out of me to think about her stringing along a guy who is actually a nice person. I do not
understand why people get into relationships they clearly do not care about. It's a waste of time, and then they proceed to complain about their boyfriend or lack thereof when they're basically just in a relationship for the sake of being in a relationship--if what they do can even be considered a relationship.
@InconspicuousBox Yeah it's pretty sad, it's partly why I don't jump into relationships because you know I want to make sure the gal I am with is worth it and I actually want the relationship to work and that the broad in question will make an effort to make it work.
Absolutely. I'm not the type to rush anything--partly out of fear, partly to ensure I'm with someone who is, like you said, worth it, and partly because I think every step we took together would be better if waited for. Besides, with waiting, I am naturally rooting out anyone with ulterior motives. Taking things slow is just better all around. Additionally, my general shyness would pretty much prevent jumping into anything.
I really hope so. And it's funny, because I don't seem like the shy type. If anything, I would probably seem overconfident. But when it comes to people I don't know or ones I like, I usually can't even get my mouth open, accompanied by a pathetic feeling as the opportunity slips away.
Romance ain't dead. It's just that people are likely to be busy in their hectic life schedule most of the tine. Then where the hell is the time to romance with your partner.
No offense, but have u think about return favor to treat ur lover like Prince the way he treat u? It keep up spice. Why we have to do everything when get nothing return?
Stop watching Disney movies youf ucking retard. 20-50 year old women thinking their life is a disney movie and some white knight is gonna come and give them a fairy tale romance... that's some tragic comedy epic level fail shit lol.
I really do hope its dead romance is just commercialism created by the westernized governments using it as a marketing scheme to make money like valentines day.
... lol what? where do you see physical appearance mentioned anywhere in this take? Choosing to apply the content to 'good looking douchebags and hot jerks and players' is your prerogative.

I initiate a slow clap for you. I agree whole heartedly.

Feminism kills my game
‘Would it really kill him to just take me out and make me feel how I deserve, to be treated like a princess?’
Is that really what you deserve though?
... I say that sarcastically. Which I suppose doesn't always translate all that well through text without an abundance of emoji's. -_-
But really, why do people think that they deserve something like that though? We both know people think like that seriously, but why?

I think it's that we emotionally coddle people until they're well into adulthood

I think she just did tell all of the women out there?
She should keep it up. Maybe they will listen if it comes from a woman.
I'm fairly new to the website. Is there a way to favorite this? Cuz I'd like to do that a million times over
welcome & no, I don't think there's a way to follow individual mytakes anymore but I'm glad to hear any and all positive feedback. :)
Romance isn't dead, but the rise of the Beta Male makes it seem like it's slowly dying. A real man is romantic without having to be prompted for it.
Those people have always existed. You're just noticing them now because you're dating.
nah I noticed them now moreso than before because I saw a take/question here asking why romance must be dead. Why can't we have relationships like in the old romance movies and such. As a serious, genuine question. -_-
I think you're forgetting the imbalanced power dynamics in those old movies, my love.
yeah that's very true, good point.
As long as I'm alive it ain't dead, the problem is finding a gal, who appreciates it in return.

@InconspicuousBox exactly couldn't have said it better myself, your wise on the subject for someone so young.
People keep saying that, that I'm mature. (I'm fifteen.) But every time, I don't really think of it as maturity. Shouldn't realizing that you get out what you put in be common sense? @InconspicuousBox well see that's the thing most people especially people your age don't have nor use commonsense now a days and exactly.
That's really sad, actually. I want to facepalm at some people's relationships. @InconspicuousBox shyness will fade with time and experience but everything else is good.
I really hope so. And it's funny, because I don't seem like the shy type. If anything, I would probably seem overconfident. But when it comes to people I don't know or ones I like, I usually can't even get my mouth open, accompanied by a pathetic feeling as the opportunity slips away.
@InconspicuousBox lol we've all had that feeling at least one in our lives it will pass.
I thought it was something to grow out of but I grew into it. Dammit.
@InconspicuousBox well you just need to force yourself out of it, it is possible.
Yeah, I suppose you're right. Just one more personality trait I need to work on.
@InconspicuousBox that's good.

yes, I have. If you read what I wrote, you'd see that I didn't write anything that would indicate I only take from him and give nothing in return.
Stop watching Disney movies youf ucking retard. 20-50 year old women thinking their life is a disney movie and some white knight is gonna come and give them a fairy tale romance... that's some tragic comedy epic level fail shit lol.
... Perhaps you should try to actually read what was written before you make brilliant comments like that. :)
I really do hope its dead romance is just commercialism created by the westernized governments using it as a marketing scheme to make money like valentines day.
Yet another topic about good looking douchebags and hot jerks and players. That's 5% of male population.
... lol what? where do you see physical appearance mentioned anywhere in this take? Choosing to apply the content to 'good looking douchebags and hot jerks and players' is your prerogative.
get real.
.. I just pinched myself and I'm pretty sure I'm real.
women are famous for being in denial - but not in denial (only) to guy, but in denial to their-selves.
I'm in denial of what? Sorry that you couldn't back up your statement and are acting like a little bitch with no good support to your argument.
Romance is dead since it's consider romance when you're beautiful and sexual abuse if you're ugly.
If you can get along with the person for long periods of time, and have good sex with them, then it's a good union.
Romance doesn't die, people just get older and internalize reality.
Im shure @idkwtftoputhere knows i rove her from Mars all the way back to Uranus 🌹💏
Very nice take, thank you for sharing it. I can tell you that we men appreciate and value women like you.
