What Men Look For In A Woman

I decided to come up with this take, as a result of numerous questions on this subject. First, let me point out that people are different, and they have with them different behavioral patterns, qualities, characters, and reasoning. These differences are taken from family background, cultures, societies, and peer groups. But despite the differences, they are generally accepted truths, which are acceptable all over world. If an item is colored white, it is seen as white in China, France, Korea, UK, etc., irrespective of the country or place, the language may change but the meaning does not. This is how the truth is perceived.

So in this context I am going to base my explanation on one group which I term "real men and real women". So the question can rephrased to read, “what do real men look for in a woman". Everyone will agree with me that we live in a complex world; we face challenges, at home, offices, business, and so on. And it would not be right to have a challenging girl/woman as a partner or wife, in addition to other challenges.

So first point: Men look for simplicity.

By simplicity, I mean someone that understands, someone that is supportive, someone that stands on the truth, someone with a sense of humor, someone that can help, especially at difficult times. Forgiveness is also part of simplicity, and this is the ability to let go. The way a lady presents herself, that is the way, the world will perceive her. So ladies learn to get it right from the start of your relationships, the start is the foundation, and when the foundation is solid, then the building will be solid. Some ladies play hard to get, they love but they deny, but this does not work in all cases. Love should be proven, love is light, and should not be hidden.

Second: Men look for intelligence.

This is the ability for one to be creative, plan, understand, solve problems, listen and act and contribute to the building of the relationship. An intelligent lady advises her partners on what is wrong or right. A non-intelligent lady/woman will only sit back and wait for the man to do all work. When a woman is intelligent, she exhibits confidence, and she will be able to carry the man and the family along.

Third: Men look for beauty and to me all ladies are beautiful.

But lack of hygiene, lack of care, and negative attitude suppresses this beauty. If a lady should take good care of her body by having good hygiene, in addition to a positive spirit, eating healthy, love and care for others, she will not only blossom but she will be attractive.

Fourth, men look for love.

There are a lot of definitions of love, but to sum up the qualities and meaning of love, I will use the definition from the bible, 1 Corinthians 13: 4 -8.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. Love never fails.

Love is different from sex; it is when you have established love with a person, that sex should follow, that is when sex makes meaning.

I don't really care for intelligence, it is a big plus but not a requirement.
Not having an IQ of 120+ is tough luck, being a bitch is a choice.

Unfortunately how well one dances is overshadowed by the hotter girl who can't dance very well. At least this is the case for most men. There are few and far between that will actually see that great dancer first before her looks.

You could just bring up casually in a conversation you grew up in a rough neighbourhood and she automatically pins you as a jailbird and a lowbrow and the wall goes up. You like a drink at the weekend; alcoholic. Been in a fight, thug. Earn under a certain threshold; deadbeat. Don't tell me it's nonsense I've seen it and heard of it. Women have a worthless until proven worthwhile mentality. Even the ones that lie in bed watching dvds and living off someone else act like judge and jury to the men they meet. @northernligths lol I'm not a nice guy. I was a really nasty bastard before I had kids and softened up a bit. I've had bad turns from women though. I've watched my pals getting fucked up over them too. I know they can be evil. My own sister used to use men for money and laugh at them when they turned up broken hearted looking for her. Seeing certain stiff colours your judgement. I think I'm justified in what I say

@bluenose1872 - I think your analysis does make sense, but doesn't always hold true. There are good girls out there who are not judgmental. The sad thing though, is that those good girls are the ones that are usually taken for granted by nasty men; whilst nice guys get a hard time from naughty girls! In the end, there are a good fit/match - whether be it 'nasty vs nasty' or 'good vs good'!

Good take - I never really get to involved in thinking about it - It is purely instinctive for me most of the time - I might have a type but I find if I analyse it I would pick the things I think I like then I would be surprised by some of the women I am attracted to.

By posting that picture and stating what you did you are saying that all men want Eurocentric colonialist ideals of beauty. If you don't see this as a problematic you and people like you are the very reason as to why that view will not change. It also proves that anyone thinking that woman in the picture is "the ideal" is simply perpetuating an inherent bias towards people who do not look like that picture.
