Signs You're in the Relationship for the Wrong Reasons

1. Money

This one undoubtedly true and obvious. Money is the worst thing to prioritise in any relationship and is the worst reason to stay in a relationship. Money is such a momentary quality because life doesn't have a planned path and anything can go wrong at any time.

2. Sex

I'm only 15 but I've heard sex is one of the best and most pleasurable feelings in the world. But staying in a relationship just for sex is wrong if that isn't clear already. It also isn't fair for your partner.

3. Fear of loneliness

Fear of loneliness is not good reasons to stay in a relationship. If all that you like about your partner is their actual presence in your life, this is a sure sign you are staying in a relationship for the wrong reasons.

4. The past

Just because you have history with this person and you've known them for years doesn't mean you should keep perusing the relationship if you don't want to and if you don't feel anything special.

5. Family or friends

You wouldn't want your partner to stay with you just because they like your brother and you wouldn't want them to do the same. Family and friends shouldn't influence your emotions about someone.

6. Superficial Qualities

Qualities like looks, what they own or their body, those things don't last so move on.

7. You want to make an ex jealous

Using another person to hurt someone else is wrong. Not only are you being insensitive and deceptive; you, yourself are also inflicting pain to someone who may genuinely care about you.

8. You’ve been out of a relationship for too long

9. It’s nice to have somebody taking care of you

Sooner or later you're gonna be alone and you need to learn to be independent

This. This is the most important one. Best to recognize and realize this before ever getting into any relationships. One has to realize that no relationship is ever guaranteed to last forever. I mean, your partner can some day leave you unexpectedly as they changed their minds, or they might be gone all of sudden expectedly due to something tragic, like an accident, an illness, or being a victim to a crime, any thing bad can happen. But do appreciate the time you have together and embrace and cherish it for as long as it last, as it may not last very long.

Money - I've seen relationships exist because of it, and end due to a lack of it. It's sad because everyone sees it almost at first glance, except for the one providing the money.

Sex - Sex alone doesn't equal any longterm potenial. Eventually the sex gets old... so do the people. Imagine effing the same person all the time... it's like porn, eventually you'll watch something new and different.

... all the rest feel oddly like women only issues to me. I have hobbies and things to do... many women seem to replace all that with boys, boys, boys. If it's not shopping, getting hair/nails, buying makeup, etc. for attracting boys... it's social activities like clubbing/parties/bars/events/get-togethers that involve a heavy dose of playing dress up to... yup... meet boys.

I'm just stating that men shouldn't be the one all be all event for women. It will drive all the normal men away because that is heavily taxing to be provider/entertainer/attention giver that does it all (dance monkey dance).

Personally I sleep with cheating women... they all lack in attention. I see dudes that work their ass off to provide money to get a woman... don't want to be him. Overall though, I think a woman would be happier with just one guy if she actually had a life of her own. Give her some hobbies and interests that don't require seeking out or getting attention from a male source.

That's my mini-take on it though. Some women don't fit the mold or painting I just painted... and thankfully so... I'd be quite lonely when I just want to talk about politics or overly taxed when I just want to play some video games or some other mundane activities that doesn't require the opposite sex to achieve (i. e. watching sports for many men).

Well, here's my rebuttal...
1. Money - a woman's first priority is that a guy is solvent, can provide for her and the 84 children she would want to have with him. So if he's a bum, he's at the bottom of the list, least desirable.
2. Sex - without sex, well, it's jut not a relationship. So while it may not be everything it's sure far ahead of what's in second place. :)
3. Fear of lonliness - this one is really silly, cuz people like to be around other people, not because of 'FEAR', but because they like it. Once more invalid reason.
4. The past - well, this isn't even relevant. Unless you're saying people date people they knew in the past, well just because they arlready know them. No, this is another bogus sign, not even in the realm of reality.
5. Family? Geez, really? A girl will hang with a guy if his family likes her? I think this is bogus too.
6. Superficial - girls are masters at this. A woman can fall in love with a guy without ever even meeting him. Everything is superficial to a woman - it's all what they conjure up in their pretty little head.
7. Make ex jealous - another 'really'? Okay, I'll give you this one - if a girl is dumb enough to do this then she gets what she gets.
8. Out of a relationship too long? I don't think you have much control over this. Sometimes you just dont' meet a potential suitor. That's why everybody has to have their own life mission, their desires and aspirations they're pursuing.
9. Okay - immature people are looking for someone to 'complete them', to be their 'soulmate'. Egads, so much disney-dream bullshit.

I have to say your rebuttal it on target except they want some other guy to support some other guys 84 kids and 99 percent of them are materialistic. Guy has to have a (GOOD) that usually includes a fancy car with a matching house or no dice. If a sexy girl were to walk into a store where there were two guys both wearing shirts that displayed their careers, the ugly guy's shirt said hey I'm a attorney take me home while the handsome guy's shirt said hey I work at H&Z carpet installers take me home She's walking out with the attorney bank on it. i agree with the looks bit to some extent.
only people in songs are in real relationships just to try to get an ex jealous. irl, you might go on a few dates, flirt it up, but never actually trick the poor person into thinking you love them just so your ex will flip out. unless you're head is more twisted than the problem.

I disagree with a lot of your points. In fact, I think that if you list all the reasons why you shouldn't be in a relationship with someone, you also provide the reasons for. Life is not a fairy-tale. What is a relationship for if not for taking care of it each other, gain a new family or sex? Hell, even money! Sure, if it's for only one or two of these reasons, it's bad, but people are in relationships for exactly the reasons you listed. Why be in a relationship if you didn't hate being on your own. Most people don't like being alone and that's why they want someone.

if it is not working eventually you will break up. that's life, we try things then we see.

and we can get into something for one reason but decide to stay for entirely different reasons.

Most relationships start over sex appeal, as in how good looking or sexy the other person is. Though sex appeal is important, it's a very poor basis for a relationship, beyond the first flirting.

I agree that money is not a reason to stay in a relationship with someone, but I disagree when you say that it is a temporarily status. At least where someone with money will most likely keep having, and someone poor will most likely stay poor.
