Whether you're a male or a female, having a big crush on someone and then realizing that this person doesn't feel the same way, or they don't seem interested in you, isn't fun. I want to give you some brief advice for those who are going through this situation.

1. Stop the fantasy!

Yes, your crush is "cute", yes, she's got an "amazing" body, but so do millions of other people! Trust me, there are better people in the world! Think about a person in your mind that's even more attractive than your crush, but actually is very happy to see you and is sad if you don't contact them and they would appreciate you a lot more than your crush, they would reply to your texts instantly, call you, talk to you and show interest. This is the person that you deserve, not this person that's been draining your energy.

2. Accept the pain and release it!

Don't be afraid to cry, whether you're a man or a woman, you're a human being so let it out! Whether you're feeling sad, angry, lonely, just let it out.

3. Talk to a trusted friend!

Talking to someone you trust about it, can definitely help out! It's better than keeping your thoughts to yourself! Vent to someone and you'll feel better!

4. If you have unanswered questions, if some things are unclear, it's okay. Don't overthink things!

"What did I do wrong?" "What if I have done X, would things be any different?" etc. Just learn to quiet these questions and accept that there may not be an explanation. Always remind yourself that whatever happened, happened and maybe it's out of control now, but overthinking it gets you nowhere. It only stops you from moving on.

5. Stay strong though all this! It's a life experience, just make sure to learn from every experience you go through. You're a step ahead!
