Continue living in a bubble thinking everyone in Pakistan is poor. What you see in the media isn't always accurate. I am British Pakistani and I have been to Pakistan many times, I live in a village and the people of the village are richer, they have their own lands, they build their own houses, they have their wells and farms. My dad put a bungalow of three floors on rent and my dad and his three brothers build their houses on their own land in a row. We have our well and we still have a lot of land left. A lot of my neighbours in the village build in bungalows where everything is made of marble, the kind of house that would cost £20 million in England. They made that with their own money on their own land!
Regarding my grandma, her four children died. The rest include 4 sons and 2 daughters. The two daughters are married, one lives in Hong Kong and one lives in England. The other four all are employed, one works in Hong Kong as a security guard, the other works in Dubai's factory, my dad works in a factory in London and the fourth one just left his job in Dubai.
Alhamdullilah! Allah is sufficient for us! Every child comes with his own sustenance and destiny. Allah finds a way for everyone. My dad and his siblings looked after their elderly parents until their last breath!
You read things on the internet, I have been there ten times. My entire family lives there. I lived there for a year also and I lived there for 2 months last summer. I know more about Pakistan. A lot of them are richer than people living in western countries. They own their own houses, since they build their houses on their father's land, whilst people in the west pay rent or live on a mortgage.
Ever heard of Ireland? Ever heard the word "child mortality" when that was common people used to have tons of children. It isn't as common to have that huge of a family anymore. Watch from about 7 minutes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eQP6JoxtKk
@shephardjhon Ever heard of the potato famine? And yes, Ireland is developed NOW after their fertility rate cooled. Same thing with China, Indonesia, South Korea, etc.
@Shezadi I wanted to ask they had so many kids because it was something common and all families must had in order to contribute to the growth of population or only some couples who loved each other a lot had because of love?
That was my point about Ireland. I assumed they had those large families DUE TO the famine because not everyone was expected to survive, now they don't. I have been watching a great show called Derry Girls. Kind of reminds me of Karachi in the 90s.

An anecdote is not an argument, it's a fallacy.
