Whether it's family problems, romantic problems, coworker problems, any type of relationship problems there has always been one simple solution. It may be rephrased or adjusted for a specific question but I think the majority of my answers are basically the same answer. This thing called communication... try it out.
For some reason people fear it, along with it's cousin honesty, when they should be embracing it. There will be hot-heads and just plainly complicated people who cannot be reasoned with. However that's all on them and probably the only exception to not trying to communicate in my opinion.
I see one too many questions on here asking, "What does he mean?", "What does she want?", "Why did they do this?", "Would my spouse like this?"... etc.. it's a never-ending list. Well talk to the person you're asking about, because THEY are the ones that know the answer. In fact I believe they are the only ones that know what THEY think, feel, want, and like... and if they don't I think YOU know them better than strangers online. Trust your instincts.
Now all of that aside, think about communication this way. What is any type of relationship without it? You're left assuming things, wondering to yourself, and so on... Instead of just being an adult and respectfully but honestly saying, " think this.." or "I feel like.." so the other person knows what you want/think/feel. No one can read minds... when you open the communication hopefully they will reciprocate so you know what they think/want/feel...
It's really not as difficult as some people make it out to be. If you happen to find yourself in the company of the aforementioned lol... well acknowledge that there isn't much more YOU can do. That's is on them and if they aren't open to it, not much will happen.
Any type of relationship needs communication. One sided relationships do not work. It takes both people willing to be open and flexible. So when I see questions regarding trivial things like a sex position or hiding your honest feelings I just feel like shaking you.
Communicate. Express yourself. Be respectful so people feel like they can too come to you. Be understanding. Just say what is on your mind... that simple.
