In my case, I actually become more physically attracted to a girl, the more I like her as a person. I have been it situations where, when asked, I've told my friends - 'Nah, I don't think she's good looking at all,' only to later, after getting to know here, I actually said - 'Oh, dude, she is gorgeous!'
