Help. Why doesn't my boyfriend laugh at my jokes :( ?

I don't think my boyfriend thinks I'm funny. He doesn't really laugh when I try to tell jokes or something, maybe just a chuckle or something like that. Sometimes he'll laugh when I'm not even purposely trying to be funny.

What I'm saying is, the way he laughs at a funny part in a movie or when he's with his friends isn't really the same with me. He makes me laugh all the time though. He'll dance infront of me or do something silly and I just crack up.

I've asked him before and he says he does think I'm funny or that I do make him laugh. But I don't feel like that's true

But that doesn't mean it's rolling on the floor, dying of laughter funny.

Some people might find you that way.
Others may not.

Example : comedians.
There's always those people in the audience falling out of their chairs because the joke is so funny ,
Then there's those people with the stone cold faces in the audience, or those that give an occasional laughter.
They all find he comedian funny.
But they handle the jokes in a different way.

Ask his friends about inside jokes and things he thinks are funny. Do things like him; dance like a weirdo and make weird faces and talk in weird voices and cute little things like that.

I'm going to make a huge generalisation and say that on the whole women arn't funny, there are exceptions but for the most part they're just not.

I've never met a girl who can tell a story about her day that keeps to the point. They all seem to just meander off into some obscure point about someone in their office wearing the wrong shoes.

Maybe your humor differs from his? I can make other people laugh but, it is a lot harder for me to laugh at them. He could find you funny but not in a laugh out loud kind of way. I think sitcoms are great but, I've never once laughed out loud by them.

Maybe he thinks you're funny when you're not trying to be funny. Some people just aren't good when they intentionally try to be. I don't think it's a big deal though.

Different sense of humour, what I find funny isn't necessarily what someone else finds funny. If he smiles he finds it a little funny, you're probably not hilarious.
