To be honest it's kinda heartbreaking, and discouraging, to see that the vast majority say yes.

So my question is simple: is it ok to cheat on your boyfriend during a party (not just SB, but any party or festival)?

They say those things to excuse their bad behavior. When the odds of them getting caught decrease people are more likely to cheat. Most of these girls were far enough away that they weren't worried about getting caught. The only reason most people seem to be "faithful" is the fear of getting caught. Once that fear is gone very few men are women seem to have what it takes to be faithful.

It would seem that most men and women want a partner that is faithful, but most of them don't want to be faithful themselves. I agree it is very sad, but that is just the way it is. This is also why separate vacations are a bad idea. At least one of them if not both are likely to cheat during that time.

It's never okay to cheat on your significant other, but we're all human and make mistakes... Especially when alcohol is involved. If the cheating was intentional (texting, seeing another person secretly for a while, sober cheating) that's wayyyyt fucked up, but if it's not (getting black out drunk one night at a party--if you never party) it's still fucked up but it's more understandable. Different couples have different boundaries, but for me and my boyfriend kissing and hooking up is definitely not an option.
