Me and my boyfriend have been dating for 7 months. He's 18 I'm 16. Before we stated dating he liked this Mexican girl in my grade but she never really liked him. And every time we go out to eat he wants Mexican. All the time. And he's talking about how he's going to Cozumel Mexico for a week with his cousin and how they're going to be drinking.. And he says he wants to buy houses in Mexico. Like what is this attraction for Mexican girls and places. I don't get it. Should I be worried. He's mixed black and white by the way and I'm Asian and white. Like it cool to be interested in a culture but I feel like this is a little to weird.. Is this just me being overly jealous or what? Please help.. ?

Do you live in the south? Either southern CA or Texas or somewhere near Mexico? Because Mexican culture is so engrained in US "culture" now, and it's even stronger near the border of the two countries.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say he likes the food and county for the same reason everyone else does, because it's amazing.
Reality check: it's extremely unlikely that he is feigning an interest in the culture because of a former crush.
You're being a little jealous and weird.

Maybe try showing him some of the amazing things about other cultures that you appreciate!

You're just getting worried about nothing, it's just that he likes that culture, nothing else, it doesn't mean he doesn't like you.
I was obsessed with American culture before coming to the US (and still am obsessed :P ), it's just who I am and what I like.
Just because you like one culture more than the other doesn't mean you're not gonna like the girl you're with. You shouldn't be jealous, cause there's nothing to be jealous about.

I dated a girl once who had a Asian fetish ( i'm white) always talking about moving to Korea etc. it was good for a while but always thoughtit was a little weird.
It didn't work out i was sick of Asian food after a while an hated K-pop so we broke up
