Christ I hope not. Not saying the figure isn't statistically true, but I really hope my dating circle isn't limited to the people I've already met. Far too many of them are broken, have moved to the far ends of the earth, are happily married and sprog farming, or are completely wrong for me.

Not at all. Many many people don't stay in their same hometown after they gain independence, most move to another city, town, or even country (my case) where they meet many more people.
That statement is not true at all, unless you live in a small town and you don't move from there xD

I honestly doubt so. When I was 16, I was indeed, in a relationship, and I thought that he would be the one I'd marry in the future, but we broke off. And again, if this statement is, in fact, true, I'd be so screwed up because I hardly made a good first impression on anyone 😂

Well it says older so that could mean the majority of people they talked to are ages 25-36 which is the most common marriage age range

Well, considering that 16 and older includes people 30 and older, 40 and older...

It might be true in the literal sense. But what it implies is not true. Only a tiny fraction of people 16-18 have met the person they'll marry. And not too many more in the 18-20 range.

Saying 80% of people aged 16-110 have met the person they will marry is pretty meaningless.

Pretty sure the real meaning is..

By the time you turn 16 you'll have made some type of contact with the person meant to be your mate. Doesn't mean you'll end up with that person. And it could have been a childhood friend or any other random.
