Female Hypergamy at work?

The amount of guys who are still virgins, and never have a girlfriend is rampant, and you get some clear incite into this from guys here who state they've never kissed a girl, or are still virgins. More so with boom of cam girl's, many men have opted out in pursuing for a real loving relationship and settle for some random girl being nice to them over the internet in exchange for giving her cash.

Could this article give incite into female hypergamy, and perhaps women's views on what they think qualify as a man to actually be in a relationship with. Many people give reference to the 80/20 rule in which women all coddle around a small clique of men to have sex/relationship with. So when women say they aren't enough men around, are they saying they aren't enough high quality tall,, rich, handsome men around to commit/have sex with them?

What do you think?

A little snippit from the article:

"This got Birger, a former economics writer for Fortune and Money, thinking: How could a man of that age be so cavalier about casting aside such an amazing woman? And why do we all have similar stories of incredible female friends trapped for years in dating hell? Why are there so many great single women? Where are all the great single men?"

"sing his background in economics and statistics, Birger sought out an answer. The result is his new book, Date-onomics: How Dating Became a Lopsided Numbers Game, a clever read with a sobering conclusion: There simply aren't enough college-educated men to go around. For every four college-educated women in my generation, there are three college-educated men. The result? What Birger calls a "musical chairs" of the heart: As the men pair off with partners, unpartnered straight women are left"

So, where are all the men?
Last year about 35 percent more women than men graduated from college. The Department of Education projects that by the class of 2023, there will be 47 percent more women than men [graduating from college]. That's three women for every two men, essentially. Obviously, none of this would matter if we were all a little more open-minded about who we are willing to date and marry. it turns out Americans have become less likely to marry and date across educational lines.
