I hate that my boyfriend is popular and it makes me insecure?

My boyfriend seems very stoic and reserved, yet he is friends with so many girls in real life and on Facebook. It is so damn annoying. It makes me insecure because once I saw him hitting on a girl when we were going through some tough times, and he denied it until he realized I was serious when I said I was done.

Then we worked on things after he confessed and he deleted her of his phone and Facebook. However, every time he says hi to some girl he know, much lets stand and speak to her, I get angry and insecure. He does not know this though. He has been more appreciative of me since the incident but I suspect he is cheating if he does not call or text me, or if I see him online late. How do I rectify this?

I also have a very popular boyfriend who also happens to have a lot of female friends. Does he introduce you to his friends? Does he keep your relationship hidden? My boyfriend always introduces me to his friends, regardless of their gender. He never hides his phone or who he's talking to, if one of his female friends calls him he will pick it up in front of me because he has nothing to hide. Trust goes a long way. If you let your insecurities ruin a good thing you will regret it for the rest of your life. My boyfriend hangs out with his female friends by himself all the time, he won't choose them over me but if I'm busy and they want to go for drinks, he'll go, and I don't care. I hang out with my male friends by myself too, and he doesn't care because he trusts me and knows my morals. As far as him hitting on another girl, I won't comment on that because A) you guys were going through a "hard time" and B) I'm a firm believer that flirting is mostly innocent, it sucks that you caught him because I wouldn't want to see it either, but I tell my boyfriend all the time that when he goes out with his friends he can flirt as much as he wants as long as he comes home to me. He's not acting on it, and at the end of the day I'm the one in the front seat of his car and sleeping next to him when he gets home. Not the girl he's innocently flirting with at the bar. You can't honestly tell me that when you go out with just your girls that you don't hit on or flirt with other guys just out of fun. Doesn't mean you want to go home with them. Not everything is as black and white as people make it out to be. Just because he talks to a girls does not mean he wants her.

No I have only been introduced to like four friends all male, because he says these are his actual friend. The others are acquaintances, I do not know if he has told the girls about us. Most seem friendly towards me of late. Usually I am not clingy, well I am still not clingy. I just have a little fear in me that oh he may cheat, but I have to work on me. thankfully he has not sensed that yet. So far he does not give me any real reason to really say he is cheating. Thanks for your input though.

If he's going to cheat, nothing you say or do or think is going to stop him. No sense in stressing and worrying about something you have no control over. Give him the benefit of the doubt and trust him until he gives you a reason not to. Be the best girlfriend you can possibly be and he won't want to cheat. He won't want to ruin a good thing for something so temporary.

I did not know he was popular I found out two months in but you are right I could have left. He did mention he was a big deal, but I took it as banter. He is very nice to me, I would hate to know I let fear ruined something good for me.

why can't you just be happy for him? i would say that you do this out of competition with other girls? if yes it shows how much you love him.

I am trying to accept it he is very witty, and comes from a good family. Sometimes I feel like some of the girls are prettier so he may chose them over me but I have a great personality. This stems from past relationships I have been cheated on in the past by both bfs.
