How do I tell my girlfriend I don't like her hair?

My girlfriend just shaved her head today, because she wanted to start over and regrow her hair. She knows how much I hate to see short hair on woman. She told me she needed to shave and regrow from years of damaging it with hair dye, but promised she would care for it and try to grow it back looking healthy.

Today she told me her friends like the shaved look. So she's gonna keep shaved like that forever.

I personally think it looks gross. She doesn't look attractive at all with it, I can hardly look at her, and it's kinda embarrassing to go out in public with her. That's how bad it is!

Am I being shallow? How do you tell her how I feel?

She didn't have to shave it--that's a lie. Even damaged hair can be deep conditioned, and have the ends cut off. As it grows longer, you keep trimming it and soon you have a whole new healthy head of hair. If you aren't attracted to her anymore, I would tell her so. If she is sorry--well, she can start growing it out and buy some cute hats or even an awesome wig. If she's not sorry and doesn't want to fix things, I would probably end it. Loss of attraction is usually a deal killer for me.

The shortest I have had my hair is shoulder length. Overnight I had cut it from my waist to my shoulders. I donated my hair to a charity that makes wigs for people struggling with cancer. My then boyfriend was shocked at the changed. But my hair was still at my shoulders and it grew super long within 1 year. While I didn't seek his permission, if it was going to be permanent I would have at least ask for his thoughts.

Her hair, her choice. You can voice your opinion on the matter but at the end of the day, its up to her.

You aren't being shallow. Some women won't date a guy that is 4ft nothing or that has a beard etc. You can have your values, it's your choice.

Tell her that her newly shaved head makes her look like a man... you don't find men sexually attractive and it reduces your boner to a flacid jelly like substance. Honesty is important.
