I think those are both human feelings and that a little of jealousy and possessiveness is healthy. Nobody likes to feel like their partner doesn't give a shit. But anything more than just a tad of both of those is enough to make me want to leave someone. Your partner is not your property, they need and should have time and space and do things that don't involve you, they should have friends of both genders without you being paranoid about whether they're cheating or not. Long story short: jealousy and etc is cute, but in homeopathic doses.

To an extent. I wouldn't want him to smother me with either because I need my space. There are some things one isn't allowed to do in a relationship like go through my phone or things of that nature. But jealousy and even possessiveness in small doses are good signs to me. Like everything in life, moderation is key.

That's a big sign of insecurity and it's not attractive. Being a little jealous is okay but being possessive to the point where that person can't do anything without you being in their ass is extremely unattractive.

Jealousy can be a good thing. It shows how much your partner cares and feels about you. If you partner didn't get upset or a little jealous about you talking to another member of the opposite sex (or same sex in gay couples) wouldn't that bother you a lil? Possessivness.. Thats a toughy but i'm going to have to say no. Noone owns you. EVERYONE has a choice.

No, both are not good. Both are unhealthy and are capable of destroying relationships.

The fact these two qualities are basic human qualities and so it's almost impossible to get rid of it entirely but there are plenty of effective methods/ways to handle them.

No, they're bad things. I want to know my boyfriend cares about me, but getting angry just because he sees me talking guy to friends is taking it too far. I like feeling protected, but jealousy and possessiveness makes it seem like he sees me as his property, and I have to ask for his permission regarding what I do and who I can talk to. a little bit of possesiveness is morale booster because you feel like being wanted.

Far from good. These type of relationships turn into domestic violence. I do know some women who only wants their partner to be just a tad bit jealous because it showed that their partner didn't want to lose them.
