It's not hard, its just a conscious decision not to. Resting bitch face doesn't mean they can't smile when your eyes meet and If they don't even do that it means they're not interested, hence it not being worth taking forward.
Take the risk please. Maybe she is interested
I would approach but I would probably be very visable that I am uncomfortable XD. As I would try to get them to smile lol. And get them to lighten up their mood even if it risks how I look for the first impression.
It's not the face but the negativity that oozes from the person that makes him/her not approachable.
Exactly. It isn't that the face is unattractive or intimidating--I just don't necessarily want to extend effort getting to know someone who projects unpleasantness.
The only hard part about approaching any bitch is trying to find some reason that it could conceivably be worth any of my time.
If she's got bitchface I won't even give it a moment of consideration.

I have a resting "nice face" I smile all the time and for the most part I'm friendly. My method usually is I smile at someone and maybe wave, if I get a friendly response then I could approach but in reality I don't don't because it's just weird.
I have resting "nice face" too. Even when I'm lost in thought, I tend to recall a joke someone said or a funny experience and start smiling about it.

Haha! Sometimes, but most times people smile back. I will admit that it makes me more approachable vs those with RBF. Approachable to a fault. Meaning, guys automatically assume just b/c I look over and smile that I'm interested. I'm thinking, "No, I'm just being friendly."
Question, is it just me, but have you noticed that throughout the years, people have become less and less friendly compared to before? I definitely have.
You know what? You're right! If I hold the door open for someone or help out a person in the grocery store, I do get looks. Like wow, that was really nice of you!

True its sad that now days being polite and friendly is considered odd or weakminded. It seems like everyone had become very entitled, and don't get me wrong I believe that you should take care of yourself first but most people don't even do that they just wanna be stuck in their own misery and drag you in it.

I sent that before I finished typing. It's a defence mechanism, a bad habit at this stage, because I have always had a tendency to get anxious in social situations, so it's like armour. But really, all I want is for someone to see through it and want to get to know me.
I do it all the time when I don't want any guy to talk to me they'll look at me and tell me to smile so it still doesn't help me

If you look unapproachable because of RBF, then I won’t approach you. I’m not gonna take that chance that the girl is truly not in a good mood and possibly get told off because I couldn’t take the hint or read body language.
