My boyfriend keeps saying that I'm perfect. What should I do with this?

My boyfriend keeps saying that I'm perfect. I'm not. I'm sure as hell not. I keep on telling him, but he keeps on denying it, saying that I am.

He keeps on telling me that it bugs and p*sses him off that I can't see apparently what he believes I am.

He says he really won't talk to me unless I can accept who I am and that I'm perfect...

What am I suppose to do? Should I say "Oh yes I'm perfect, why thank you for noticing" ? Because that's not me. BTW, we've been together for almost 3 years.

It seems as he's just trying to be sweet, I'm pretty sure as to what he means as to you being ''perfect'' is that your perfect in his eyes, try not to shut him down with simply giving you a compliment! Guys can be pretty blate with their word discription

By the sounds of it your a smart girl! Three years together is deffantly a long time,so he must love you if I'm not mistaken.Some people don't have as much self confidence as others, and its more popular for girls, but its a compliment, you should accept it instead of getting him to prove it, just be happy that you have a loving boyfriend who thinks your the perfect girl!

I think you need to chill out. I mean would you rather he say that you're attractive, but he prefers blondes, your smart, but he knows smarter? Most girls I know would not.

The point is that whatever you are he accepts, what is so wrong with that? To him, you are perfect, he doesn't care if you curse like a sailor, or if you spend way to much time watching reality tv, drive like a maniac. That sounds like something pretty good to me. So chill.

I would rather have him tell me that he knows people more attractive and smarter if it's the truth. I would rather have him criticize me than say I'm prefect.

He's crazy about you, just accept it as his oppinion, I personally think it's very stupid to get annoyed with someone because they think you are perfect. Just compliment him back or playfully say "stop it" followed by a kiss. Don't get worked up about it.

He obviously loves you very much and thinks that you're perfect. It's not fake, it's not something he's just saying.. you are just everything he wants and loves. Sometimes girls do things to push for compliments, not saying you are but it happens. Like my 5'2" 110lb ex girlfriend calling herself fat. Sounds like you have a great guy, and you're very lucky to have someone thinking you're perfect. Agree to disagree and move on from the subject.

Its understandable to feel a bit fat at 52 110 -- I mean you could healthily be thinner & some people are just more comfortable thinner. tho its true complaining about it is sort of obnoxious. either do something about it or be quiet.
