Usually there is attraction but you can keep things from being complicated by putting those feelings aside or addressing them without getting into a relationship

Girls can actually be good friends, It's up to the guy's original intentions, sometimes they think they can be friends at first and then develop the relationships and that's why it goes to hell, but if he plainely just wants to be friends it's no problem at all
