What exactly do women have in mind when they want to spend more time with their boyfriend (considering he's the busy type)?

Often enough I hear/read about women wanting to spend more time with their boyfriend, who's like a busy hell from morning till night or that it leaves the woman spending the night alone since he's on nightshift. In that matter they care less about money than they care about time spent and the lack of the latter causes stress on them.

But suppose their boyfriend makes time for her and is available for her. What exactly do women have in mind when they say "spend more time together"? I get it, it gets lonely but my imagination at this time is pretty much limited to just sit on the couch together, watching netflix or something or eating out together.

To me spending time with someone means getting away from home where you tend to sit on the sofa watch tv/film or both be sat like bookends on their phone.
So go walking beaches, forestry, national parks, lakes find places no one else has ever seen or know of, make it your special place make it a memory whether that be something funny or silly happened, a person you met on the way anything. Summers nights sit out side and look at the stars.
Do something you both enjoy find a mutual hobby.
Take part in each others hobbies.
Having a meal out can be good especially if it's some where new or food never tried before.
Plan a weekend away even just talking about one where would you go all the things you would like to do some times to mentally plan something gives insights to someone you didn't know already.
Go for drives doesn't have to be a planned destination to get in the car.
Spending time is making those memories together doesn't matter what your doing or where it's what happens in that time together.
Conversations happen and you are spending time in each others company that's not over involving phones or computers.
The sofa and a film has its place l can't deny but there is so much to see and explore.

I'm also really busy, I think in units of 5 minutes, and on weekends I like doing 1-2 hour adventures, quick and easy, like ice skating, sledging or something similar.

I don't like walks too much, but that would be an option too. I absolutely love skiing, but that takes the entire day and may not be possible when my boyfriend is busy, but a ski tour is fine too and can be done in less time.

I feel like it really depends on your priorities, if your partner is your top priority you'll make time for them regardless of how busy you are, I've seen marriages work out very well despite both partners being very busy and having children to take care of, being very engaged in their church etc.

The only thing I'd hate doing, something that to me makes absolutely no sense, is going shopping togehter to "spend more time" together... shopping is a necessity, not a hobby.

I dunno when I was married nothing was good enough. We went out together every single day. We cuddled on the bed every day, sometimes multiple times a day! And we had sex nearly every day. It still was not enough time for her so I don’t know.

They want to spend more time together. My guy is great about making time for me, and some of the things we've done together are run errands, split and stack firewood, work on his snowmobile, and other chores. We'll often watch a movie together or just fall asleep. As long as I get to see him, I'm happy.
