Well technically both ultimately have to agree but they don't necessarily make their decision at the same time or with the same level of enthusiasm. Like its probably true that the guy usually wants sex sooner and more desperately than the woman does which puts the burden on the guy to try to win her over/confince her that he's worth having sex with.
So in that scenario you could say that the woman is guarding the door since she is ultimately the one keeping things from progressing/the one making the final decision.
That being said I think women are usually the guards/gatekeepers for relationships too. I don't think average or below average men end up being in the gatekeeper position for sex or relationships very often. The only time the guy is the gatekeeper of the relationship is generally when a girl is casually sleeping with a guy who is hotter than her and develops feelings/wants commitment before he does.
Basically this all comes down to whoever cares about/desires the other person the least will be the "guard/gatekeeper" and have more power. In most cases that will be the girl, but high value men can find themselves in that position too.
Yes, of course. Haven't you been paying attention? How many times have I posted this... like a thousand or more?
Girls are the keepers of sex.
Guys are the keepers of commitment.
Don't be giving up yours 'till you have at least a little of his.
:)
I think it depends on the man.
When I was in college I knew some very nice looking men, who had a charismatic personality, and they would go to bars and bang a woman whenever they wanted. There were women who wanted to have sex with them but sometimes they said no. In that case, the men were the keepers of sex.
@David92506 - WTF over. So now you think women are men, and vice versa. Got it.
I wouldn't say women 'control' sex more I'd say women tend to be far more selective about who they'll have sex with than men, this is biological, however the same biology also makes us more selective about our partners. I don't think men 'control' relationships more either they're just far more likely to not be interested in having one, I think the truth is when it comes to dating, sex, and marriage women are more selective and due to this tend to have more viable choices.
I enjoyed reading your comment and I gave it a "thumbs up."
I've also read articles about the MGTOW movement. "Men Going Their Own Way." In today's society, the way things are, many men just aren't interested in marriage.
@David92506 I mean MGTOW is basically radical feminism for men so I wouldn't ever say a good word about it but yeah marriage rates, in general, are going down but it seems it's being replaced by long term relationships instead.
Absolutely, but I will just modify it a bit. WOMEN guard the door to sex and relationships, while men guard the door to marriage and courtships. That's the most appropriate. Does it happen these days? Sadly no. The most successful relationships I've known followed this principle.
Whats the reason you'd say it doesn't happen these days?
True
Because people have premarital sex and then want to know why their marital sex life is nonexistent, have no marriage, can't be married to stay married and people's relationships today are atrocious. Heck, can't even call them relationships. I'm a virgin, so I should know. I gatekeep sex and relationships, yet they don't want to court or marry me when I was younger. So now I still gatekeep sex and relationships, NOW some are coming running to me. But yet... their courtships are either poor and they never been the gatekeeper of their sex lives either. Let alone a proper relationship. A waste of time for me now.
@btbc92
I enjoyed reading your comments and gave it a "thumbs up."
The only thing I would like to add is one of the reasons why it doesn't happen these days.
Drugs are so common these days that it affects how people think and their boundaries.
@btbc92
I would also like to assert, that in many cases, the woman is the gatekeeper to courtship and marriage. In this day and age, there are so many lonely men and they can't find a relationship. The men reason that women have it so easy to be in a relationship. Women can post an ad and within a week she can be in a relationship. Whereas it might take him 3 years. So if the woman tells him she wants to get married he might very well agree - or it's a lifetime of loneliness being single.
But I do believe men who are extroverted, have charisma and good looking hold the key to sex, relationship, and marriage. When I was in college these men did whatever they wanted and still had women clinging to them.
@David92506 The problem is they have to fix their loneliness. They have to build themselves up as men. They can't keep seeking the validation of others in order to be fulfilled. They have to do something in their lives and make friends. Most of these guys don't put the initiative to keep female friends and being honest from day 1. And that is not true at all. I am an introvert myself and even I know that in order to build relationships, you must talk to people. They don't have to be good looking or any of that stuff. They play up a female's fantasies. And now a good amount of women are wising up. I have seen so many guys who just literally sit there and do NOTHING. They self-sabotage. And they believe everything negative. They have to actively be leaders. And many of them have unrealistic standards. So that is why they suffer. They don't believe in themselves and they want what's easy. If I couldn't make many friends and now have over 14 years of friendships with over 10 people, how come they can't even have 1 female friend. Or they refuse to try to get to know other women and befriend us? They have to do what they got to do. It's confidence. A woman needs a man to lead. If he's too submissive, then it's unappealing. And they will god forbid attract women who want to use or abuse him. It wouldn't be 200 years ago. Not even 100 years ago.
I have to concur. They CAN find a relationship. They just choose not to build one. It starts by befriending us and saying "hello". Some of them don't want to be just friends, so they ghost us or dump us. So whose fault is it, they these guys want to rush a woman or expect us to just date them? I had a good amount do that to me even on here, desperate for a relationship. After I made it blatantly and verbally clear that I don't want one. When other girls say friendship, they say their friend-zoned. Until their mindset changes, they will continue to live like that. They have to do something. And stop trying to date strangers. Dating is not about them, it's about who they want to date and vice versa. Women struggle too. And one of the main reasons for my celibacy and never dated. Do you know that? I never dated. So no. It sounds all good but in reality is, unless such men have godly standards there mainly interested in sex. That's it. We're human beings at the end of the day, and we owe them nothing. Women have the right to be a bit more pickier. 3 years is not a big deal. It's how you utilize your time. If all a person is doing is counting the days, their not doing anything productive. It's not that hard to really befriend people Just not everybody wants to be your friend. When I started to take care of myself, that's when I started attracting good people in my life. Such guys have to do the same. Not lamenting about their singleness and loneliness. Singleness is not a curse. It is a stage in life and an adventure they have to be willing to explore in their life by going out there and see the world, meet new people, and try new things that are productive and build's them up as men. Because a person that often comes to them are usually those who pity him only. Sorry to say.
@btbc92
I read what you wrote and I agree with you. There is one thing I would like to add to what you wrote. Many of the men "who do nothing" will come onto forums and throw hateful comments towards women.
I don't necessarily agree with what you wrote, "A woman needs a man to lead. If he's too submissive, then it's unappealing." AND "They have to actively be leaders." Maybe in the past, these statements were true but not today (in my opinion.) Generally speaking, it seems to me that most people are so self-absorbed and self-centered that they can't see beyond their own nose unless they want something from you. It's their way or the highway. So they are not seeking anyone to "lead" but themselves.
It seems to me that the past generalizations of roles don't necessarily apply today. In addition, I have a friend who believes in Sharia Law and he claims most all of his friends believe in it. Maybe that's off-topic.
But for the most part, I agree with you.
@David92506 That's not the past. That is how God made men and women. That still applies today as long as human beings and society exist. We can't help them that choose to take their anger here. They're just angry people and they have to fix it. It is a good thing their single if they behave like that. It shows their true character. It's not an opinion. But a fact. If a woman doesn't see those needs met, she's either going to wear the pants and grow frustrated, god forbid use, abuse or cheat on him, or find somebody else after regretting it. It does apply. I have married friends who can agree. When a man is stable and secure, his woman is stable and secure. These people are mostly mentally ill here, especially in America. Nobody is getting real help and many don't even KNOW their sick or been abused. They need HELP. And they lack structure. And no, it's not that it doesn't apply. It always did. This country is just rebellious and immoral. Now we're paying for our past ancestors who changed the landscape, mistakes. We're paying for it, and it's getting worse.
No Sharia Law is what it is. They're not of godly standards. That's slavery. They just twist the word of God to fit their fancy and call it from 'Allah'. Which is not even God in the first place. The word of God is the true source of how we should conduct our lives and choose mates. People are just selfish. While those who aren't, have to suffer because of other's actions. Only problem that is challenging, is finding somebody who meets the same standards or similar and shares the same values and desires as you while equally desiring to share that life with YOU. So either way, you still have to weed out people. And the choices are but slim pickings here. Many are not eligible or qualifiable for such a relationship and shouldn't be in it in the first place. They're screwing it up for the rest of us. And have no remorse for who they use and destroy along the way.
@btbc92
Often times I think life is better for the person who is self-absorbed and self-centered, who is quick to anger and has a clenched fist to back up his/her words. These people get what they want at the expense of others and don't have a conscious of their actions. They look in the mirror and only see good. If something is not "good" they blame others.
How can men guard the door to courtship? I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean, but I feel like it's wrong.
@David92506
People only get what they want because we, including myself, don't allow them to work for it because we love them enough to quickly give it to them. Sometimes we have no choice but to allow them to suffer on their own for their chocues. But that doesn't mean we have go continue to suffer with them.
That doesn’t explain how men can “guard” courtship.
Men guard courtship because men who loved a woman marries her. He courts her by showing who he is as a man. Be it throygh chivery or other ways. Today it can be slightly modified because it's not the same anymore. And a woman has to showcase who she is as a woman that leads to courtship. Because if not she's just going to be dated. Which also means she gtlets to determine what kind of relationship she really wants. And often times theu don't do that. So they get dated, but not courted. It leave amen frustrated, so they sometimes give up not just the relationship, but any possibility of courtship. Which of course gets most women pissed. So the guy in a sense ha dot find a worthy woman. He keeps picking up women who aren't. Hence the high dovorce rate or he can't handle a good woman.
That's why I tell my female friends all the time. If you want a good man you ha e to know what a good man is. Not your fantasy or unrealistic expectations (by themselves or other women or people) of what a good man is. That's how you keep picking up bad men. You want marriage, be by yourself. Grow as a person, don't rush to date somebody, and don't just date somebody because their cute of sexually attractive either. Don't rush because your scared you'll never marry or die alone. Go at your own pace and let a man prove himself to you. You don't have to date them all. You be the boss, and allow him to be his own boss.
Hmm... nah. Not real.
Sex, marriage, relationships. These are real events or changes of state. There’s no barrier to courtship here.
Control of these things is based on power differentials. Sex and relationships have obvious average power differentials in favor of women and no one seems to dispute that. But as for marriage, I don’t really see much there but I can picture it. For courtship, nothing. There’s no power differential that gives men control of “courtship”. If anything, it’s the same factors that put women ahead in sex and relationships that give them power over men when it comes to courtship. So... sorry but this ain’t real.
Actually that's very much real otherwise none of my friends from the ages of 18 to 24 ever got married in the first place. How do you think the end of very happy and now they're has families all about to have families of their own? Because they actually did all those things that I've actually had said. And no sex and relationships have no average power differential. It has everything to do with how we choose to handle it. What ship actually does have it. People just don't respect it anymore. Know what it is is that women now has been given too much power that we honestly no longer pretty much giving you know what. You can help with feminism with that. But it is real. What it is is that is so rare to find these days that we often tend to give up on it. But it's up to us to truly create that if that's something that we truly want. And find somebody who also says those values. That doesn't stop because it's been over 50 years this has been done.
There's very much a barrier to courtship. And that's modern-day dating and sexual perversions. As long as people continue to perverse relationships, marriages, and sucks, we will continue to have these heartaches. As long as people take away what power marriage have and bring it into the dating world, the less value marriage has today. If you put more value on dating and boyfriends and girlfriends than they do on themselves and what they say they truly want. This is why we have a problem. Because everything is handed to people nobody really has to work for it anymore.
And let me tell you something. More than half of my friends are still married today and are have any more kids. And are doing extremely well as it should be. And I know a good amount of people, friends included who believe and have done the same things that you have said. And have failed. With tons of ex's and ex maybes as part of their dating records. When it's all just so simple. Don't settle for less than what you deserve and want. If the other don't want it, move on. Don't get too emotionally attached to them before you miss out on a person who does want it with you. I have family members who did just that and they've been together since high school or even college, and got married at the same time. They have over 30 and 40 years of marriage. Kids and grandkids and great-grandkids. It's how you were taught, and gaining knowledge and wisdom to know how to find good partners. Not just right timing and being at the right place at the right time. Actually having to tools to do it. Many people today have not been taught all day. That wisdom because it's too traditional for them. That's why they fell. Traditions on for tradition's sake. It's because it actually works. People today are just too damn lazy put any real effort. And those are actually do all the ones that's getting the short end of the stick. Sad.
They done it, and they made it happen. Everybody else talks to talk, but they don't walk the walk. That's why nothing happens for them. Unless they will like me and do not have the necessary finances or certain opportunities to do the things that they would have liked, a lot of them have these things they just choose not to do it. But they're envious of what somebody else got. That's why I no longer pay attention to such people, because they have nothing to offer you, except try to bring you down. When you're always around negative people like that, the next thing you know you'll start to be negative. And then you start thinking that it is. And then you bring negative into your life. Is when you start thinking the opposite is when opposite things begin to happen in your life. And then you start seeing the change. And then you grow to like it. And now you really love it. Then it becomes second nature to you, now you don't have to put in much work, because you already did a lot of work to get where you wanted to go. Now you're living your dreams because you made it into a reality.
The “steps and rules” are beside the point. These things are consequences of the power differentials. So it’s all a non sequitur. It’s obvious that on average women have the power of a couple of these things and again, that’s not being disputed. But I’m not seeing where the power men is for these other things.
I think we need a common model to communicate properly:
There are stages from stranger to marriage and onward that mark significant events or changes in a relationship.
Sex and relationship are somewhere in the middle and the order can vary. And if I were to inject courtship in there then it would be the period from stranger to sex and relationship and that stuff can overlap so it’s not clear cut, but that’s the general region of interest — the early stages.
In that region it seems like again women have the upper hand there — just like with sex and relationships, on average they decide when that next step proceeds.
The “steps and rules” are social constructs that come out of the *real* part which is these discrepancies in average power, that’s what’s real.
But there is no power differentials it has nothing to do with that. And first of all who ever said that you have to be dating a stranger? That's why there's problems because you're dating strangers instead of dating people you already know such as your close friends. That's why it doesn't really work. And steps and rules are not social constructs. That's from years and generations of observations that has proven to work overtime.
No it's not obvious that average women have power. Is the fact that a lot of you women come to us for sex so we notice and we can either take advantage of it for our game, or not care about it at all like myself, or use it to get what we've personally want out of you as well as long as you are willing to give things in exchange. It is always an exchange. But not every exchange is fair. That is the key difference. The worst thing you can ever do is date a stranger.
If you want to succeed, stop dating seasonal people who are only there for your life for a short.. Date somebody who is with you for a lifetime and has proven that through their friendship. And you won't have that problem most of the time. The same rule that applies for dating is the same rules that you apply for everybody you meet in your life. And that includes friendships. If your spouse and dating partner AKA a lover is also supposed to be a best friend. Why would you make somebody your best friend who you have little to nothing in common with let alone not sharing the same standards and values? I left the your overall criteria for a basic friendship, you definitely don't have that for somebody you want to make your lover. You just pick anybody who paid attention to you and then you expect them to be your lover or the Greek myth of a soulmate. If the person is right for you and they are meant to be in your life everything will fall into place on its own. But you got to go with it. You keep fighting with that then you'll only going to be your own worst enemy. Because now it leads to self-sabotage. The number one rule I set for myself as I impart to others: DON'T DATE STRANGERS. Not so hard to do. Most people do that because they want to be selfish, they want so-called excitement or be a mystery. The most important reason why they did strangers because they don't want to be judged especially for his sexual past. And I always tell people that. If you don't want to be judged for your past don't have a past in the first place. You're going to be judged for everything you do anyway. Just make sure you being judged for the right reasons. Do that and you have nothing else to fear. Courting and dating is not an obstacle course. It's Not Meant For Your Entertainment. So stop making it like it's The Bachelor. And your life won't get treated like it's a game show.
“But there is no power differentials”
It’s a direct translation of “guarding the door” to certain things, and that’s what you began with. I’m just using more direct language to refer to the same thing.
“who ever said that you have to be dating a stranger?”
You don’t have to date a stranger, I was defining a wide spectrum, I just started at that extreme end.
“steps and rules are not social constructs.”
Yes, they are. That’s literally what a rule is. That’s *definitionally* a rule.
“That's from years and generations of observations that has proven to work overtime.”
Yes, that’s a social construct, dude!
“No it's not obvious that average women have power.”
Again, you started by saying women guard the door to things. That’s exactly what having power means here.
“It is always an exchange. But not every exchange is fair. That is the key difference.”
That’s EXACTLY what I mean when I say power differential. Yes, they aren’t fair, that’s the whole topic. So I don’t get how you think you’re disagreeing with me about that.
“So if you're giving everything to a stranger that you don't even know from the time of your childhood, and you're not receiving anything in return, whose fault is that? That's not hers. That's yours.”
Wait, why? How is that my fault if we’re both in the same boat?
Sidenote, it’s not like you can’ just completely avoid strangers. E. g People who don’t have anyone they’ve known since childhood.
After this you’re basically just going off on a stranger rant. You’re getting hung up on “strangers.” I was trying to define terms to make communication easier and you went off in a random direction. We’re talking about the power men and women have over their love-life. From meeting people, sex, relationships, whatever it is -- the power you have to navigate toward desired outcomes is the subject. Specially, how men supposedly “guard” whatever “courtship” is, and now apparently you’re agreeing and disagreeing at the same time about discrepancies in power.
Power have nothing to do with choice. We have freewill yo choose how we wish to lead our lives. Rules are not social constructs, but by the standards that God commanded. Do it the world's ways and you'll always fail. That's the point. God made us and designed us, he is in control. But when you relinquish all of your control that's when things start going right in your life. That's the main message I'm telling you.
“Power have nothing to do with choice.”
It has everything to do with choice, they’re very much linked. Freedom is constrained by power: If you’re a quadriplegic you don’t have the power to walk, so neither do you really have the freedom to walk. I’m not a quadriplegic, so I do have *some* power to go dance in my neighbor's yard, but if they don’t let me, then I’m going to get in trouble. That’s another throttle on my freedom. However, if I have something that might allow me to do it, e. g I offer to pay them $1000, then that’s power. Power is inexorably linked to choice.
Well if you’re going to bring god into it then it’s all just nonsense and there’s no point even talking about it. You haven’t been able to identify what “guarding the door to courtship” even means or how it works, but then try to argue this *thing you can’t even point to* is real “because god [supposedly] said so”. If you’re not going to engage with the discussion properly, then there’s no point and I’m done.
I actually told you exactly the way how it goes in life. It's not my problem if you do not like the answer. Yes everything is life is a choice. But there's a big difference between having power and authority. Having Authority and gaining power a very different. In firstly, God is at the center of everything that's how it's always been. And no that has nothing to do with it. You can do whatever it is that you wish Boosie and it was serious problem, the one who paid the consequences is going to be you because you are as comfortable or those actions. And I never said that God was never in the middle. And I have explained exactly what Garner the daughter courtship means. Courtship is actually getting married. So if you have no desire of actually getting married, then courtship is irrelevant to you. Therefore you are just dating. When it comes down to power and authority however. You can have the power but it doesn't mean that you have the authority to do so with it. Until you learn to have authority over those choices oh, you can exercise that power especially if you don't have it. So no. Power does not have anything to do with choice. Choice has to do with the power available to you.
“I actually told you exactly the way how it goes in life.”
I don’t want your meandering answer to a question I didn’t ask. I want you to answer the question I did ask concisely. How are you defining courtship and how is it that control it over women.
“But there's a big difference between having power and authority”
Authority is a kind of power, but that’s beside the point. Don’t get side-tracked by “authority”, stay on task.
“Courtship is actually getting married.”
Wow, this is convoluted. Okay, here’s a super simple question, don’t go off on some wild tangent here: Is it a synonym for marriage, is it interchangeable?
“Power does not have anything to do with choice. Choice has to do with the power available to you.”
What in the actual F is this answer? You are just contradicting yourself. Those mean the same thing but you act as if they’re different.
Freedom of choice is a consequence of power… and power provides you with freedom of choices. It’s the same damn thing just the other way around.
I feel like I need to go back to basics and define power for you, but it’s not that hard. You’re just using it in some weird bananas way that doesn’t make sense.
Don't make up some excuse like "you don't like the answer". That's just being weasel when you're giving non-sequitur answer. Make clear concise points.
Would it help if you asked me about what you think I'm not grasping?

I’d say in general this is true, which is why it’s wise for women interested in a relationship to angle for that first before sex happens.
how dare you
you do this under every circumstance?
No, not really. In general women have more power in the dating game over men. The reason for that is that while men, and here's why:

When some people say that men guard the door to relationship, they're talking about the smaller number of men in the right half of that graph because they can afford to be more selective than the left half. With the rest of the guys women guard the door to both.
Not necessarily relationship, but long term and marriage ya guys definitely have power over that, granted no one wants to get married these days so we're beating a dead horse there.
I had power over the sex with my ex, granted the last girl I was dating she had power over the sexual realm there, so I think that can go either way.
the biggest defining thing girls have power over guys is if they want to start a relationship/dating with us. I think that's the only real edge one gender has over the other.
Nah. Women typically have more sexual value, but I'd say both genders have equal relationship value over a lifetime or in general.
What I'm saying is that generally, sex happens when women want, but a relationship starts when men want...
That is why some women can put a hold on the sex and some men can put a hold on popping the question.
Well that's true, but how does that matter here?
But I did not ask about the traffic at each gate.
I just think it's kind of lame, yeah? I've heard it many times, especially in the manosphere. It feels like guys are trying to reassure themselves that they have some control over relations with women. The reality is guys only ever have control when women desire them in the first place.
And it's not like only guys gatekeep relationships. I've had buddies who get fuck-zoned by the girls they like.
That is why I said generally, you can never deal in absolutes.
Some weak-ass, low self-esteemed man tend to take whatever bone they get thrown.
Some women just like the dick, not the guy attached to it so they keep it that way.
You don't have to be one though.
@celtero Right on, but don't argue with this stubborn guy lol You see the facts and everybody else sees them, but for somebody who blocks it out due to not wanting to admit that he's not in control, it's not so easy. We know the facts.
Wow, first proven wrong and then start to group up and bully.
Listen, you asked for facts, I gave you facts. Now don't go around seeking validation from other guys.
And you say I'm the one seeking reassurances.
The first thing you need to do if you really wanna help men, is to stop patronizing.
And I never asked for facts because I know the facts. @shashwat11 YOU are the one who asked the question and are avoiding the facts presented, even by people other than myself. All I did was point it out. What a wuss, man 😂
@likelyOK Not at all. There's people way more stubborn and aggressive. We're just establishing the details.
And don't get me wrong, I get a good dose of schadenfreude when women waste their opportunities and wind up old and alone. It's hilarious because so many girls have every chance to get a good guy and they still manage to blow it in a variety of ways.
But I don't like to kid myself into thinking that women's hearts long for meaningful companionship and a lifelong partner. The reality is they're much more cold and uncaring than they lead on.
There's an old saying you know...
"Men are romantics pretending to be pragmatists, and women are pragmatists pretending to be romantics."
@Celtero a fellow red pilled guy.
No. I keep seeing this and NO lol sex and relationships BOTH require mutual consent. NO ONE PERSON holds individual power.
And it is false that a woman is always up first a relationship And a man is always up for sex. Yet Even WERE the case, it still is a group decision.
Mutual consent has little to do with it. Even though no one person has absolute power, power ratios can be reflected in the system. There's even a name for it: Market forces.
No. What’s ignored here is that these operations are not commutable. That is to say that order matters.
If you’re “guarding” the door to sex, then you’re also guarding the door to a relationship. But that doesn’t work in reverse order.
It also neglects that if the outer door is tougher to get through than the next. If women control a vault door and inside the vault is the little wooden lockbox I control then it’s obviously not the same thing.
The mistake here is the assumption of a balanced duality. In reality, there needt be balance nor a duality. Female praying mantis eat the male during copulation, never assume fairness or balance is innate.
Sex is definitely/generally the woman's decision. An actual relationship though could be either or.. Like who wants it the most.. Since women tend to be more selective, they tend to be have more power in that to be honest.
Now if we were to talk bout escalating to marriage, then its the man
though a woman could always reject.. but if they're already in a committed relationship and both love each other, then its usually the guy that decides
partially true for both. Some men are really after relationships and not as intrested in sex and the same can hold for some women. Some get just as horny as men.
An old saying though that i have yet to find untrue is women have sex with who they want and men have sex with whoever let them.
Nah women control both. The guy has to wait for her to say yes for both of those
Yeah but he is a pussy and then questions why he can't get women
Great going with personal attacks. You and your friends just dont want to be proven wrong now do you?
@shashwat11 Try it. We're still waiting. You've proven to be a pussy though. Or you gonna chicken out again with another hypocritical move?
Stop this dude... you need to get your attention somewhere else...
Stop spamming on this guys reasonable comment
The guy who wouldn't stop is telling us to stop. LOL not your world bro
@MissMovinOn I ain't the one tagging and calling out.
@ThiccNigro hey man, sorry about all these notifications...
It's all good, haven't been signed in for a while
Maybe for some this Is true, but I often take the dangling pussy carrot away from women especially since I am not manipulated through my dick. Sex as a tool or a weapon on me never works. Probably why I don’t date just to get laid. Vagina is everywhere and cost nothing.
Neither or both guards those doors depending on view point. Ie there won't be sex or relationship unless both wants it and it's not done against the others will with force.
It just that people confuse making the choice last as being in control. Women usually choose last. Ie men want to have sex first, women choose later, men usually take the first step in a relationship and woman chooses to accept or deny that step after. They are not in control because they don't have the full selection. Men are not in control because they don't do final judgment. So neither or both end up in control depending if their wishes align or not.
Both men AND women guard sex and relationships. There are women get rejected from sex, and men who get rejected from relationships. Just as @VIVANT said, it is all about both partners consenting to those activities!
Those things don't happen at the same rates though. That's the point.
depending on the type of man you are, you can be the guard of both, but most men do not understand this and allow themselves to be pushover. plus the understanding of how men become their true self is lost in time. practice semen retention for a month and see what im talking about.
Plenty of women asking on GaG how to get their partner more interested in sex. It's true that women are generally more careful of casual sex, but in a relationship women's desire for sex equals men's.
"Women guard the door to sex. Men guard the door to relationship." I think you hit the spot.
Because woman want stability and men want a maximum number of partners or/babies/offsprings. This seems like a decent enough cooperation between these two.
I don't even guard the door to relationship (it's wide open if anything) and women don't give me sex unless I pay them with my money 🙄
It seems partly true to me. I don’t know why though but I guess it depends alittle bit on personality too
It's pure ideology. There is nothing that empirically suggests that those two things are mutually exclusive and that whoever fulfills each role is sexually determined.
No. No one "guards" anything, and there are no "doors." Anyone that comes at relationships and romance with that mindset is setting themselves up for a losing situation.
I think its equal mostly. And if I really want to nit pick them I'd say women have the power to control both more than men, but power doesn't seem like the right word either...
What do you mean women control sex? This doesn't seem right to me... surely it's mutual.
If I'm the only person that can supply you with water then I have a degree of control over you and I can jack up the price. Seller's market. Just because we "mutually" agreed on a price doesn't mean that exchange was fair and balanced. If there is a higher demand for intimacy among men, then women have more control over those situations and related things. That's what it means to "guard" or "gatekeep" here.
Oh that's what you mean, I understand now. Sorry I was thinking you were saying that only men want sex I probably misread that. Then I would say you are probably right because men seem to be more ready to go and women choosier, so they are limited by how often the girl agrees. That makes sense.
Yeah I agree with what you've said here about sex and relationships.
As the person who does not hold the power into whether we have sex, I do not agree personally, but I guess it is true for a lot of people
Sex before relationship
Why?
Because it was meaby not worth to wait to have sex with Her
Men control the door to marriage. Which is my marriage is at 150 year lows. Men are fed up with the modern excuse for a woman.
Yep, and since more and more men are leaving the marriage plantation women are losing thier shit over it. It's quite entertaining
Well no one wants to be in a relationship with me, so I guess I'm not guarding anything
I guard the door to death. Everyone and anyone is allowed in
I mean i don’t think about it that deeply. If a woman desires me and I her, than what will be will be.
I clicked partly true.
Which one do you think isn't true?
Well i think it depends on the individual, i don't think men and women are all the same, i clicked partly as i think it has some meaning in it.
Oh yeah, I should have put that as an option too I guess...
Thanks.
All i have to do is make my girl turn on with some words a d touch a d we habe sex
Nop... Women guard both of them...
for the most part. obv depends on the person tho
Both control both of these.
owls predict, oracles stand guard
wow, thats deep
soilwork
Totally true. No doubt about it.
Yeah I'd say that's true
Yeah it sure seems true
No..
Seems about right
Sounds about right
Nonsense.
