My boyfriend said no one can take care of him like his momma?

Maybe I’m being sensitive maybe I’m not... but the fact that my boyfriend told me that no one can take care of him like his momma hurts my feelings. I understand the relationship between me & him vs him & his mom is completely different, but it just makes me feel shitty and it makes me feel like he’s saying I can’t take care of him even remotely close to the way his mother does and that I don’t take care of him. The other day I ran to town because his wisdom teeth are coming in and he’s in a lot of pain so I went to town and bought him stuff to help with the pain and I bought him gum because he said gum helped. I even brought him ice cream & McDonald’s home. I usually will bring him home food anyway if I’m grabbing food for myself. I also, do his laundry for him, rub his back when asked, massage his feet because they hurt him all the time, cook food for him, & etc... like I said maybe I’m being sensitive, maybe I’m not. What do you think?
