My girlfriend calls me weird nicknames?

She is very immature but she’s hot, smart and comes from a good family. Recently she started going from cute nicknames to some not so cute. She calls me ‘owl’ , ‘ shark’ and now she started calling me ‘rat’. We were out with our friends and she called me a rat in front of everyone. I feel like she doesn’t respect me at all. I felt embarrassed and left her there after the incident because honestly I’m tired of her, we’ve been together for 6 years and she started acting really immature this year. Should I leave her considering that she won’t stop calling me stupid nicknames that bother me? I talked to her about it and she said that I’m a strong man and I can take a few ‘nicknames’ here and there.

Does so know you don’t like this? I’d always suggest communication first before breaking up or anything. If you have already told her you don’t like those names and she keeps doing it, well they blatant disrespectful, especially towards your boundaries and what’s upsetting you. Is it enough to break up? That’s a tough call. Because I do feel like there’s grounds to leave her, I’m not sure if this situation outweighs all the good things. Sometimes the good things don’t even matter because that one thing bothering you is so prominent and unacceptable.

No no this is unacceptable behavior. She needs to grow up and face reality that you won't stay around if she continuously do this. You need to have firmer boundaries with her. It's not cute. It's immature.

It didn’t compensated for anything and it won’t. At the start of our relationship everything was great, no disrespect, lots of love and harmony. I feel like women get bored easily and start to seek attention. Time to break up or fuck her best friend I guess
