How Do You Handle Farting In A Relationship?

I was brought up to go to the restroom or another room, or go outside to fart when I'm in the house with someone else. It's just being polite. However, I know people who don't have that sentiment and will fart right in your face and don't think anything of it.

It has to do with the kind of food you eat, obviously, but in as far as I can tell, those muscles only release it when a lie is being told/lived/accepted as true.

(I don't think I'd mind it one bit from a girl I like, at worst you open a window, but the whole belly-aching or belly-reactions has to do with agendas and in my experience works fine if the liking is genuine/kind of fixes things for you)

My main concern when farting is to not shit myself.

I just fart when I feel the urge to fart, and sometimes I go as far as comedically timing my farts and farting on command. I’m convinced that my boyfriend, on the other hand, doesn’t have bodily functions. He’s very modest about that sort of thing. That’s not to say that he hates when I fart though. He has no qualms pulling my finger, laughing when I fart, rating my farts, etc.

I do it anywhere as long as others can't hear or smell. But in a relationship I think it's better if you can just rip your farts around each other. It's a sign that two of you get along very well.
