Boyfriend answered phone during sex?

So me and my boyfriend were having sex, then his phone rang. He got up to check his phone. I don't mind if it's something very important, like an emergency or something like that, but it appeared to be his friend asking to go to the gym together. He started texting him, saying he was with me right now. They were having a text conversation for several minutes and I was too surprised that he answered the phone that I didn't really know what to say. After the conversation ended he apologized for using his phone. He didn't try to continue the sex, and if he would've tried I would have stopped it there. Normally he's a very kind and considerate guy, so even though I felt a bit sad I didn't want to start a fight about it..

Next time he does this I will definitely tell him I think it's disrespectful..
For now I wonder if I should talk to him about it next time I see him. Or would it be better to just leave it for now and see if he does it again? I would like to hear your opinions about this.

I think you made a wise decision, because maybe it was just a one timer. But if he does this again let him join you to the gates of HELL AND TELL HIM WHAT'S ON YOUR MIND.
Phones should not be used during sex and during meals, it's a MUST otherwise it means he has lack of respect. At least he said sorry, but don't tollerate it next time.
It's good to close an eye for the first time, but the second time nAH !!!

Thank you for your opinion, this one really helped me. Like I said, he usually is a very sweet and caring guy and he would never want to hurt me. But you're right, next time he does this I will definitely tell him I don't tolerate that behaviour!

Aren't they all sunshine? I mean if our men wouldn't be nice to us we wouldn't even be with them, but they can't be perfect can they? And we have to right to speak if something bothers us, it's called communication and it's healthy.

Wow. That's fucked up he thinks it's ok. Have a direct chat. If his phone was made after like 1992 it will have some form of airplane mode. Or he can turn it off. It's not wrong for you to expect his full attention during sex.


Personally I'd be considering if that's the kind of person I'd be wanting to invest my time in.

If you're in a strong relationship you should be able to talk about anything. Or so the theory goes.
